While other processors make short work of slicing, shredding and chopping - they still require you to prep the food to fit into the chute. Hamilton Beach solves the problem with a wide-mouth, adjustable chute opening that accepts whole foods. Make scalloped potatoes, apple tarts and the like quickly and easily. Pricing only available online.

I got the big mouth food processor as a gift, it lasted 3 months I used it 5 times then the motor died. Save your money. I am glad I didn't buy it. As a raw food chef, at the culinary institute we used the cuisinart and now i know why, the other brands arn't built to last.

Like someone else here, mine died after limited use. I had it maybe 6 months, used it about 6 times. I plugged it in last week, and nothing. I don't have the receipt can't take it back--had to throw it in the trash. It did work good while I had it, but $60 for 6 months use....think about it, and save your receipt so you can take it back if it dies on yoU!!

At the height of gardening season, I had a friend say to me, "I don't know why you don't have a food processor!" She made a good point, and after some research, I came across this one. The large capacity intrigued me, and once I used it, I was sold. Chopping onions and veggies for salsa and sauces was done in a snap. A few seconds is all it takes for several onions to be perfect. Even slicing up bell peppers is a breeze. It is easy to put together and take apart. It cleans up well too, though I don't put it in the dishwasher. It has an expanding section large enough to let you slice a tomato, which means you can slice up a pepper without sectioning it. With smaller vegetables, chunks can get caught in this area, and be a bit hard to get out. I don't mind leaving it on the counter so I can slice, shred, and chop as need be. It is streamlined and doesn't take up too much room. It does a great job, and I would recommend it to anyone who feels that a mini-processor just isn't cutting it or is tired of doing it all by hand.

First, store associate Jordan was very helpful. The H B food processor works very well, seems powerful and well made. I don't know how it can be sold for the price. I haven't had any problems with it but I haven't had it long enough to give 5 stars for durability.

Have used this processor before. There is no lever to wear out after a few uses. it is easy to assemble, easy to disassemble, has large capacity bowl, and best of all a wide mouth so you don't have to cut larger veggies lengthwise to get them in the processor.

This food processor is great for large families and/or preparing food for a large amount of people. We initially purchased the product to help prepare food for 150 people, and it really got the job done! I couldn't imagine chopping 25 pounds of onions by hand. My only complaint is you don't always get a uniformed chop or shred, sometimes there's a large chunk in the mix. One thing I really liked was the suction cups on the bottom of the product to hold it in place on the counter. If anything to be aware of rinsing immediately after use to get the best clean from your wash cycle, food is easily captured in all the crevices.

Great for canning carrots,

Bought primarily for slicing varrots for home canning - works great. 5# of carrots cleaned (scrubber v peeler - takes off less) in 12 minutes, sliced into 'pennies' in another 15 or so. Put up 11 pints (processed 25 min at 10 lbs pressure). Bowl big enough to be useful. Read another review that talked about kneading dough (also on box) but didn't notice in instructions - will check again; hopefully, can mix dough for English muffins - make four loaves by hand each two weeks, but that project too big for this unit; the muffins should be about right. Me, country boy - wife, city girl; guess who does the baking and home canning? My opinion of this unit - GREAT! has plenty of power, and easy to put together and clean.

I was encouraged about this product since other reviews had been glowing and was really hopeful that I was getting a great value for a well-known brand.
Unfortunately, in rating this product, the lowest rating is 1 star. TOO MUCH.
I decided foolishly to indoctrinate it at 7:15 in the morning.
It is true that this thing is powerful. But, what no one else said who reviewed this thing was that there is not a seal to keep the food IN the bowl as it is being processed. Lots of power and NO seal is a bad combination.
The bottom line? With food ALL OVER my kitchen, having to do a major clean-up before the coffee was even made, I couldn't get this horrible product back to the store fast enough.
So much for Hamilton Beach.

Great Food Processor So far ( I’ve been using it for about a month now) this has been the best Food Processor I have ever owned. The price was with in reason, I choose site to store, so I didn’t pay any shipping, which is great, it looks good on my counter, doesn’t take up a lot of space like some other Processors, it’s easy to use, doesn’t bog down when I grate a block of cheese. It mixes anything I need, such as cake batter, slices great, and it’s easy to clean. I gave it pretty much a five star ratting all around except for “Meets Expectations”category. Maybe I am being picky, but I believe it should come with all the options included with the processor. Elfone Says, Buy It!

Hubby and i started the south beach diet and i got tired of chopping up veggies every day. This foof processor is fast. i have yet to use any of the settings for long periods of time , i only use the pulse feature because this little gem does such a good job and fast all you gotta do is pulse the food and it slices and chops the veggies in no time. I have not used it with cheese yet, but i have used it for onions, chopping and mincing garlic, cabbage for soups and stir fries. I think you can get a french fry attachement too. But thats a no no on the SBD! So i haven't ordered one of those...maybe for sweet potatoes. It works great on slicing the sweet potatoes you know how hard those things are to slice! I would recommmend this, just take the bowl off rinse it out and it cleans up great! I don't think you can put it in the dishwasher but not really sure. I dont want to take a chance on ruining my new toy! You won't be disappointed

I have only had this product about 3 weeks, but it is excellent. I have a family member whose meals have to be pureed and I do it weekly. This processor has been a tremendous help and has cut my preparation of his food to less than half the time I normally spend doing it. I just hope that it continues to perform in this matter. It takes up counter space, but I am not complaining! It works!!!

Just bought this machine and am taking it back to the store. I have not used the machine for chopping, but when I tried to grate zucchini for bread, I was very disappointed. I had to pick out the slices of zucchini mixed in with the grated pieces. And seeing as how I bought this machine to cut down on the time I was spend grating, etc., this caused more time and work. The way the blade is designed just doesn't work. It is a reversible blade that is suppose to shred or grate on one side and slice on the other. Problem is, the food still gets cut by the cutout for the slicer even though the actual sharp blade for the slicer is on the other side. Also, I was not impressed with the "big mouth". You have to make sure the top lid is locked before the machine will turn on. And the lid with the chute you put the food into does not have a "big mouth". (In other words, the actual food chute is regular size, not big). The only way it's helpful is if the veggie or fruit is short (like a tomato). Once again, while trying to grate the zucchini, I had to keep cutting it up because it's too tall to fit in the machine without using the food chute. This would be the same for carrots, celery, etc. I also did not like the suction cup feet. I couldn't move the machine around at all. It kept getting stuck to the countertop. Not too big a deal, just a little annoying when you're trying to just move the machine over a tad to clean up a spill.

We have had it for about 1.5 months and use it often. The Hamilton Beach website (not just the Walmart website) says it is dishwasher safe and we have put it in the dishwasher without any problems. I admit I don't think I looked at the manual to verify HB's claim about whether or not it can be put in the dishwasher. We really like the size of the bowl and the large chute.

After looking around for a food processor, checking prices and customer reviews, I finally purchased this one and I love it! I don't know how I ever lived without it. Makes chopping foods for canning a breeze and to me, that was always the hardest part of the process! The wide mouth and large capacity are wonderful and the suction cups on the bottom help keep it stable. This was the best money I have spent in a long time and now I am looking for meals that need things chopped, shredded, diced!
