I was originally going to purchase The High Step. When I received this product (The Step), I was grateful for not making that decision. The Step is the one used in fitness centers. It is bigger than appears in the image given. There is plenty of room to move around on the surface while exercising. The length also allows for me to lay on it to comfortably be able to use it as a bench. I had one that was smaller and I was always concerned about slipping off the end. This product has a great non-slip surface. The ability to add risers as fitness progresses is a huge plus to this product. I am very pleased with my decision.

i am 27 yrs old female and been doing step for a few years, this step is the one i used at the gym, they do sell a smaller one that is a little cheaper as well, the video it comes with i think is pretty good, it has both a 30min cardio and a 60 min cardio + weights, the only negative would be that i think she does not cue the steps coming up with enough time, but the steps are pretty basic, much like step aerobics classes i have taken, and after a few tries you can get them, overrall i would recommend

The step looks exactly like the ones I used at my former gym. I also love the DVD attached to it even though it is really basic and my body got used it in a week or so; Cathe Friedrich rocks! My only issue with the package I got was that the case of my DVD was cracked, hence I had to throw it out. Other than that, the product is great if you love to step the pounds off.

I highly recommend this product if you want a serious work-out. It was a little more expensive than I wanted to pay, but it ended up being worth the money. The step is sturdy and does not slide on the carpet. Cathe is a great step instructor. My advice for those who purchase this piece of equipment is to view the DVD once before trying the work-out so that you will be prepared for the more challenging moves. It is best not to use the risers until you are familiar with the routine. It's just like being in an aerobic class. Just be prepared to sweat!

This step is a quality product. It is stable, heavy enough so that it doesn't slip and slide around the floor, and provides an area long and wide enough to complete basic as well as advanced manuvers. Working out with both sets of risers definitely took my step session to another level. Would definitely recommend for both beginner and advance step enthusiasts.

The step is very durable. It doesn't slip on my carpet & I'm a little over the weight limit. I thought it was a little expensive but its worth the price for me. The video is also great. It is easy to follow & a great workout!

I was quite pleased to see that the step I used years ago to get into pre-wedding shape was still available & exactly what I wanted to get into post-baby shape. The DVD that came with it is perfect to get a new exercise routine underway.
