It's cute and seems to be sturdy, but the "plywood bunkie" isn't included and is needed to hold up the mattress. I missed that little note prior to my purchase, which is not in plain sight. However, my attempt to purchase the "plywood bunkie" on Walmart's website could not be found. If Walmart sells this product they should sell the required parts that are necessary.

When we decided to change our son's toddler bed, we knew it had to be Thomas. At first, we were going to go with a simple bed and just place Thomas sheets on it. When Benjamin saw this bed, he went CRAZY! haha We decided to spend the extra money and get it. It has a larger-than-I-expected toy box on the front-plenty big enough for his dozens of Thomas trains and track pieces. The assembly was fairly simple (my husband was able to do it by himself), but our complaint is that it doesn't come with slats for the mattress. We had to purchase a piece of plywood to prevent the mattress from falling. The price is rather high for a toddler bed, but it was worth it for us.

well this bed is okay but i wish i would have known it didnt come with a board to help keep the mattress sturdy but we used are crib board instead luckily we had the board that can be removed! also with the price you pay you would assume it would come with that. aslo it is a bit low to the ground but i assume that is for safety if they fall out also i think they could of made the sides come up higher to make like a bed rail. my son loves it but i wouldnt purchase again i much rather purchase the step 2 fire truck bed it is alot cheaper and comes with a board to place inside and also the sides work like a bed rail so the child never falls out! we had the fire truck bed already for our other son so we didnt want to get the same bed for both but now i wish i did! well i guess we live and learn. okay bed but would prefer another instead!

This as a great train bed, not hard to put together. My little boy loves it (he is 2). Very cute. Although not the sturdiest material. So not sure how it will hold up when the kids decided to play on it. I would buy this again though.

The pre-drilled holes are not lined up and the bed was impossible to assemble - so much so that we returned it for a refund. The molded plastic is not very rigid and I can't imagine it being as sturdy as a much less expensive wooden toddler bed. We got our son a wooden toddler bed that was a breeze to assemble and then bought him a Thomas the Train blanket and that has made our sons Thomas bed. Save your money and the headache.

The picture looks so good. When we received the bed we had to manually drill holes because the holes already there did not line up or were cut too small. The workmanship of this product was terrible for the price on the box. I beleive my money was wasted but I cannot disappointment my 2 yr old by giving it back

We bought this for my 3 year old nephew. He LOVES it. It was awfully hard to get him to sleep in his own bed, but now he doesn't mind one bit. Super cute, very easy to put together. The only thing that was annoying was that it didn't come with bed slats. We opted to get a large (2 1/2 inch thick) piece of wood cut to size. He loves the train tracks built on the side. Alot of the time he likes to just lay on his bed during the day playing with his trains.
It's of course great quality like everything else Little Tikes and I see this bed lasting for future nephews.

We purchased this bed at a discount for our soon to be three year old. And he loves this bed. It was easy to put together and was put together in about 15 mins. His little eyes lit up with excitement when he got into it. He loves the toybox at the bottom. The only problem I have with this bed is the lid to the toybox isnt on permanet. It comes off when they raise the lid up but overall this bed is excellent and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good sturdy toddler bed

My son is 16 months and he is the biggest thomas fan he loves his bed and I love it too. The only thing that I didn't like is that you have to buy slates so that the mattress wont fall to the floor. Thats the only complaint the bed is worth the money I really love it.

Cute bed! However, I bought it second hand for about $80. I would NOT pay full price for it. In general, that's alot for a bed. Very easy assembly. The only con I have is you have to get/buy a large piece of plywood for underneath the matress so the matress doesn't fall through. Not a big drop, BUT quite irritating when a bigger person gets on the bed and one side flops down. For the amount of money this is I would think they would INCLUDE something for under the matress. All in all, a great, fun bed! Would recommend!

We bought this for our 4yr old. He absolutely loves it. He has even started making his bed just so it looks better. Only thing I wish is that there was some sort of platform for the mattress. The mattress just sits on the lip going around the bed. So, it sags in the middle. We put a piece of wood to stabalize the middle more. Other than that it is a great bed.

My 2 1/2 year old loves this bed. The first night he was a little nervous, but once he got in it with his old crib bedding he was fine. Now he likes to put his stuffed animals night night in his big boy bed. My only problem was his crib mattress would slide off the side lip. It was easily fixed with a piece of ply wood. Over all one of our best purchases.

I bought this bed for my year and half son. We love this toddler bed. The only complaint is the bed just kinda snaps into place so the headboard isn't very sturdy and of course my son tries to climb up there and it shakes and moves. I would recommend this product to any Thomas the Train lover!!

I love this bed (and my son does too) but it is overpriced. It should cost about $120 less. I had some minor problems/concerns when putting this together. There were places where there were no holes for the screws to go. I don't have a drill so that was annoying. Also, the back of the bed doesn't screw on. Every time I move the bed the back gets loose or comes off. I just push it back on and it's fine though. The bed is really cool and I love that it has an area on top for stuffed animals and the toy box is great. Bigger than expected. I would buy this again.

I was very worried about moving my two year old from a crib to a bed. I thought he would want to go back to sleeping in his crib, or would want to get up at night. But he loves his Thomas bed so much that he's excited to go to sleep every night. When I mention it's bedtime he says "night-night, choo-choo bed!" and runs back to his bedroom. So, for that reason alone it is worth the money!
I was a little unhappy in the material it is made of. The plastic is a little flimsy. I can't sit on it without it bending a little, and I'm small and petite. Plus you have to provide your own support for the mattress. My husband had to build a custom mattress frame out of 2x4s so the mattress won't fall through if my son jumps on the bed.
But other than that the product is great and I highly recommend it. I love the little toy box in the front. But mostly I love that my son LOVES going to sleep at night!
