The Goodyear Viva 2 Tire is suitable for passenger highway vehicles such as cars and minivans. The P195/65R15 tires provide all-season traction, and comfortable, easy handling while driving. Noise is deafening

Put these tires on my wife's 2001 Malibu. Have about 20, 000 miles on these tires but they are loud and getting louder. When i put them on , I noticede it was loud, but the sound level has increased with wear. We just took a trip to South Carolina from Missouri. The tires were so loud that I was afraid and axle bearing was going out. It is especially loud at 65 to 70 MPH which makes it hard on road trips. The noise level has to be controlled by turning up the radio or you will go crazy. Will not put these on my car again. No axel bearing problem, it's the tires.

I've only been in 4 times to see manager to look at these tires with 20k miles on them to review warranty claim. Nobody else has authority and nobody can verify manager's schedule. What a joke!

I used to have a long commute & I go on road trips at least once a month & I have had these tires for over two years. I know I will be needing new tires by the end of summer so I will be buying a new set of these.

Good tires! They feel and run as good as my Michelin one's that I had. They price is very good and the quality so far is good as well! I've only had these tires for a few months and they seem like keepers so far. DEFINITELY will buy the other set :)

I decided to write this review during the snowstorm feb 2013. Because these tires earned it! because i wanted everybody know how great these tires are!
I deliver pizza everyday no matter if it is snowing, raining or if there is hurricanes or blizzards! Everyday, i drive my car minimum 150 miles. Last year i put 50K miles on my car. I purchased 4 set of these tires in august 2012. I have been using these tires more than over 20K miles. There is not really a serious wear on them. it says 60K tread life, but i believe they will go to 80K.
What i want to say is these tires are good in summer for sure. they are also good in fall. The thing is they are almost like snow-tires in winter. There is 2 feet snow out there but these tires working more than "just fine"!
Technically there is no such thing as "4 seasons tires". I know it is a marketing strategy. Only explanation i have why these tires very good on snow is they must have been made as snow-tires.
Price is surprising. It make you feel like "they can not be good" but they are. I remember thinking "what is wrong with this tire?" but nothing is wrong.
I see lot of people buying unknown brands for over $80 and i don't understand why!
Don't hesitate even a second. Buy it. as long as i drive that's what i will do.

Very Noisey

Tires have 6000 miles on them and are wearing at a decent rate. However, they constantly lose air and have the most road noise of any tires I have ever owned. I bought these same tires a few years ago with no problems. I wonder if Goodyear has changed the manufacturing process to use cheaper steel or cheaper rubber. I will go back to Wal Mart but I figure they will do nothing about the noise.

Good but cheap

This tire is along the lines of other discount store inexpensive tires - it is round, it is black, it holds air. I put a set on my 2001 Ford Focus. The tires ride well, and quietly so far. I have no complaints. But I will caution anyone buying these that inexpensive tires NEVER do well on a) non-factory rims, b) heavy vehicles like trucks and vans, c) vehicles driven under stress, like high speed cornering, etc. d) Vehicles run at lower tire pressures like luxury cars.
I bought my Focus for commuting, it is a fuel-sipper economy car, and because it's a lightweight car it can take inexpensive tires like these with no problem. if you have a similar car then these are great, I would recommend them. Just make absolutely sure to run these at 2-4 PSI under the max inflation pressure marked on the sidewalls because inexpensive tires like these cannot be depended on to add "cushioning" in the suspension.

I use them on my toyota truck and when I bought another toyota truck, I want the same level of performance and value. This tire does well and seems to be the right price for my needs. I dont go off roading , but it leaves a solid in control feel in the rain. I like it for the price and would recommend it to anyone/

I first purchased 2 for the front of my Subaru mail car over a year ago. They have served me well so I started replacing the rear ones this year with the Viva 2.
They're quiet, ride/drive good & appear to be giving great mileage.
I'll definitely ask for them again next time.

I have been driving since 1979 and tried many brands of tires over the year's and there are some good brands besides Goodyear. But I have always been able to depend on Goodyear to be a long lasting tire. I bought a set of the Goodyear Viva's 2 for my 2001 Crown Vic in July of 2009 just before a trip from Nebraska to Tennessee. I have made two long distance trips fom Nebraska to TN and one to Indiana besides our daily driving. I rotate the tires regularly and just got done doing it today. I have over 37k miles on the tires and they still have a lot of tread on them. They are a great riding tire and have worn evenly, but that is because we keep the front in aligment. (key to tires lasting beside balancing). I have read the negative comments on here, but like in all things made you can come across a lemon now and then. For me, these tires have lived up to what I expect out of a Goodyear tire. I highly recommened them.

Well I have been driving for a many yrs. I purchaced these tires in 06. That was 70,000 miles ago. I never took the tires back and had bal. checked but did rotate myself. I still have some tread left but going to replace because I'm going to lend my car out. 70,000 miles what a tire

The previous model goodyear tire was a great disappointment but I am sure that Walmart did real good on this tire and the value of saving me the money.The tire is a real deal value it really holds up and is a comfortable ride. Deville Cadillac. All so My Walmart Tire shop people are the best. It was a late night but my Walmart Tire Mechanics stayed past their clock out time and took care of what was a very expired tire. My family and my self are safe from what could have been serious trouble. Thank you Very Much. Great tire.

New set of Viva 2's 215/60/R16 - quiet, smooth ride with out vibration. Handling is good. All hiway commuting miles. Vehicle is a 2008 Sonata. For the price I would buy another set - no issues here.

After reading the other reviews on these tires I didn't really know if I wanted to buy these tires. Most of the reviews were positive but some made me worry about the tires holding up. Well I am happy to say that all of the negative reviews are wrong. I have put 2500 miles on these tires already and they are great. The traction is excellent, handle great on water, and there is no road noise. I put these on my S10 and pull a trailer so traction and handling are a must. I would fully recommend these tires to anyone and the price is the lowest besides the cheap poor built Douglas which I have used before and will never go that route again

These Tires Are Great, they definitely make your car look & drive better.. Plus when people look at them and see the "Goodyear" name on the side of the White Wall, they always say, "great tires, good brand too, they look like High Performance Tires," that makes them think the tires were expensive (which is not expensive at $75.oo a Tire.. :P) Look No Further, If You Want A Great "Not Expensive" White Wall Tire Then Go With The GOODYEAR VIVA 2 TIRES! You Will Not Find A Better Looking, Better Performing Tire At This Low Price, And You Know iT! The Best Part of Buying these Tires From Walmart.com Was that these guys Balanced and Installed these Tires On My Car For a Total of $13.oo, WOW!!! I also noticed a better Grip on the road, an Improvement in Throttle Response, Stopping distance, and an Obviously Better Appearance.. I bought these around 2008 November and had them till I sold my beloved compact car in end of 2011. Put about 60000 miles on them during that time and still had enough tread to go at least for another year or two. Never had any issues. Do regular maintenance like rotating them at 6000 miles, balance and align once/twice a year (Firestone Lifetime Alignment Service!), and they will be good as new. I live in a mid-western state with lot of winter storms during winter. These tires never caused any trouble. I have seen big trucks skid and slip on snowy roads but I never experienced any serious skidding with them. I cannot understand why something like uneven tread wear would happen without some issues on the vehicle as others complained, never happened to me and would buy them again if I had my car. Yes, they are bit noisy as some complained, but I think its partially due to the steel rims. May be on aluminum alloy wheels they may not be that noisy. Recently I found it hard way by transitioning from alloy to steel (on a different type of car/wheel/tires, not viva2).

They will not replace these tires or even offer you more than an $8.00 discount on these tires when they are bald after 18 months. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of these people.
