I bought this because I had problems with another brand. I have experienced no problems with this one. I connect wireless with two different items at the same time without any loss in connectivity. Highly recommend.

As an IT Consultant, this is the ONLY router I resell to my customers. If you are using it in a normal configuration at home, the thing can literally be up and running in <10 minutes. The only thing is to enable security on it as this is not enabled out of the box. I can honestly say I have probably setup at least 75-100 of these units over the last 2-3 years. They do need to be power cycled every now and then, maybe a few times a year, but compared to some other routers I've used (namely DLink), they are much better.

I have purchased two Linksys WRT54G wireless routers. The only reason I tried a second one is that my brother-in-law the IT pro said to give it another try. Both routers have had the same problem - inability to maintain a connection with the wirelessly connected computer. According to customer forums on the Linksys website, this is a well documented issue, and there appears to be no long term fix. I tried everything Linksys recommended, and nothing solved the problem. I plan to return this product and never buy Linksys again.

I bought this router because it got pretty good reviews but it was a huge disappointment. I spent more time on the phone with tech support then actually using it. First because it wouldn't go wireless....then because when it finally did it would only stay connected for 2 mins then disconnect and wouldn't reconnnect. Tech support didn't fix the problem either. Needless to say it was returned.

I always read reviews before I buy products, all the reviews were pretty good. I went and brought the product. It was a big mistake it was easy seting up to my computer but I couldn't get it set up to my laptop tried to call customer service I waited for 45 min and then was disconnected. Finally was able to get it hooked to the laptop and Wii and I have to unplugg it and reset it everyday to get it to work. To much of a hassle never could get it to work for the Xbox360.

I just picked up the Linksys WR54G today and intalled it in about 20 minutes. I hooked up a second computer in about 5 minutes after the first. For anyone thinking about going wireless I highly recommend this product you just can't beat it for the price. Works perfectly so far.

Not Good For Video Streaming,

When using the wireless, the product will lock up maybe once a day, to resolve this you have to unplug/replug it. When trying to stream video I Have also had issues. Doesn't work too well with the Playstaion 3. If you need a casual wireless router for just surfing the web/checking email this is okay. Serious gaming/downloading/video streaming I don't recommend this product. Also very few access controls are built into this router. Like limiting bandwidth on certain computers, to stop certain users from taking all the speed.

I purchased this item last night. It took around 30 minutes to install. The software pratically installed its self! I used to have a net gear before this one and I will never use a net gear product again. I hooked up my company laptop and my ps3 to it with ease. If you are not computer literate, I HIGHLY reccomend this product! The internet is fast and the reception is great! two thumbs up!

this product is a great buy I wanted to get my xbox live and my high speed internet at the same time so my friend told me i should buy a router so i went with this one because it was reasonably priced It works perfectly It made my internet faster and my xbox live connection is perfect definitly beats restarting the ip address all the time

Linksys is miles ahead of Netgear or any other router now on the market. This one router easily handled three desktops, two portable gaming devices and a hub and still carried between 5 and 6mb constantly to all devices. Hats off to a fine "Top Notch" product and thanks to Wal-Mart for bringing it to us at such a reasonable price. It' all good.

I've done alot of research for this Linksys wireless router and found that it is one of the best. The installation was simple. And I'm very happy with this unit. We have three computers one a laptop. My next prodject is to purchase the linksys network adapter for my other desktop computer. And will purchase it from walmart. Thanks Spider
