With an 800-foot depth capability, and a 12-level high-contrast grayscale viewfinder, this single beam fish finder makes catching the fish so easy, it might as well fillet and fry the fish, too. Also features one-touch zoom view and fully adjustable backlight for night fishing.
This product performed as represented by Humminbird. Personal contact with the Company, for additional accessories, was a cordial and pleasant experience (none of todays automated, number pushing, accent impacted, elevator music recitals).

Overall this product does a great job of displaying fish locations. The display screen is bright and easy to see and has a wide scope - often showing up to 20 fish at once. I would prefer to have the depth measurement in feet rather than fathoms. The company response indicated it is not possible to change this. The fish alarm has 3 tones, but they could be louder. This could be a problem for those with diminished hearing.

Review 3 for Humminbird Fishfinder 535
Humminbird 535 is a great depthfinder

This is my first Humminbird depthfinder, and would certainly suggest it to anyone who is looking to upgrade or purchase a new one. The 535 is a great unit. I have it mounted on the bow of my bassboat with the transducer on the trolling motor. It 'reads' immediately and 'recycles' faster than most depthfinders I have used in the past. I honestly feel the transducer mounting bracket should be included with the unit, but it is not. This bracket and hardware must be ordered separately for about $20.
