Well we have had this about a month and are very satisfied with the suction power on carpet. It is a big upgrade from our previous vac. We do wish it did a better job on tile. But its not bad. For us it is a longevity thing. If its still has great suction in three years we will be satisfied completely.

Compact machine with 12 amps of power. Canister is EASY to unload and dump contents. Tools are nicely hidden inside a compartment so they don't fall out. GREAT that cord is self-rewind. I love it and replaced my heavy Dyson with this little powerhouse. Only wish there was a larger floor brush attachment.

Just bought this vacuum...actually it's the 2nd one I bought. I bought the first one for myself several years ago and it's still running like a top. This one I just bought was for my friend and he raves about it also. Great suction, bagless, easy to use, what else could you want? Plus, it is very reasonably priced...a huge step above those vacuums in the under $100 category but way cheaper than the top end vacs ( and truthfully, it's probably just as good as them). Had it shipped to store, it came in alot sooner than they estimated and it's always quick and efficient.
I highly recommend this vac!

The first machine came with a broken button that holds the wand to the power head. Just picked up number two. Upon opening the box I noticed the power head looked used. Sure enough not only was it used, it is not the right one for the machine. The wand won't fit into the power head. I am purchasing this machine because of Consumer Reports review. I wonder if they know how bad customer service is. Does Hoover hire monkeys to work at there warehouse?

I love this Hoover Wind Tunner vacuum. I switched from an upright to a canister so I could get underneath furniture better. This vacuum has unbelievable suction and power. I vacuumed one room with carpet that I had just vacuumed two days prior and the vacuum canister was full of dust and dirt my other vacuum missed. It is great on bare floors as well and will suck my kitty hair up quickly. I can't say enough good about this vacuum! Plus it is light weight and portable!

I have owned a Rainbow system for 18 years and for the last 8 years, it has required constant repairs. It was time to invest in another vaccuum and after reading reviews on various sites, I went with the Hoover because I wanted another canister vaccuum. I am extremely pleased with the suction power of the vaccuum and that it is bagless. I am disgusted by the amount of dirt/debris that was in my carpet!! I would have rated this a 5 if there were attachments and if the dirt container were a bit bigger. Other than those picky areas, I love the fact that it changes from carpet to bare floors at the touch of a switch that is conveniently located on the handle. I'm glad I made the purchase.

We have had this unit for over 2 years and it has been a lifesaver. If I'm going to put forth the effort to vacuum, I want my vacuum cleaner to work as hard as I do, and this one does. But beware, because the first time you use this unit you are going to gasp at the amount of dirt your old unit has been leaving behind. A bagless unit has so many advantages. You can clean the dust cup and filter (I blow mine out with an air compressor) before each use to ensure maximum performance without the cost of bags. We have easily saved hundreds of dollars on bags, because like I said, I want MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE every time I vacuum. That in and of itself is enough reason to buy this cleaner. The HEPA filter does a wonderful job. The suction is remarkable. The unit is lightweight and won't tire you out. As for reliability, we have had zero problems with this unit. We have cats in the house. If you're looking for something to rid your living space of pet hair and dander, this unit will do the trick with ease! It's not weighed down with unneeded attachments. Just pop on the small head for spaces the power nozzle will not fit into and BOOM! Put on the crevice tool and get those baseboards and around furniture legs. BOOM! Trust me, you are not going to believe that such a small unit could remove so much dirt! Just be sure and keep an eye on that dust cup, because this baby will fill it up with a quickness. Remove it, empty it, and BAM, you're back to a quick job done right!

I bought this as a gift for my mother, but have used it myself. The power and suction it has is amazing. It will actually stick to a bare floor it is so strong and to see the dirt it lifted out of the rug was not only amazing but sick as well. The only bad thing I can say is that it does not have a bare tool for floors, I don't like to use the power head on bare floors.

Good Bagless, Canister Vacuum Cleaner

I bought the Hoover WindTunnel bagless canister vacuum recently and have been pleasantly surprised at how well it works and with how powerful it is. It works better than our Dyson on pet hair and cat litter and cost alot less. It's also less noisy than the Dyson. The only thing I don't like about it is having to clean the canister and filter after each use. But I am amazed at how much dirt this vacuum picks up. It's also lightweight and easy to carry from room to room. The cord is retractable;no more tangles!I ordered online and picked up at my local Walmart (free shipping). I am very pleased with my purchase.

I was told by my son that this would be a great

I wanted the lowest priced canister vac with washable HEPA media filters. This is the one. We have only had it for a few days. It performs as advertised. With the powered beater head; this unit replaces both a bagged canister and bagged upright vacuum.
Negatives noted so far: Power head and vacuum speed controls are conveniently located on the handle. The sliding vacuum speed control is easily bumped (also easy to readjust if bumped.) I would prefer a positive on/off button rather than continuous "slide to off".

I was hoping the negative reviews on this product were just flukes, but I too had a bad experience with the Hoover WindTunnel. I am going to return it to the store tomorrow. 1) Mine was defective. The power is on whether it's turned on or off. I had to turn it off by unplugging it. 2) It did not handle my thick carpet very well. If I didn't pull the vacuum backwards very slowly, it skipped across the floor. 3) The dirt cup does fill up very quickly (after vacuuming one room, and I don't have a nasty house). 4) Awkward to use, unit didn't roll easily

had this product for 3 weeks now, and love it. it works well on all floor surfaces, as a moderatly handicapped senior, the fact that it is so lightweight, and has all controls on the wand, and auto. cord rewind, make it very easy for me to use. the only thing missing is the hose doesn't swivel, i highly recomend this machine.

This vacuum SUCKS!!! In the most positive sense of the word. The suction is awesome.
I have two dogs that shed like crazy and this vac made my carpets look like new.
I use it on my hardwood floors too.
I love that the handle is height adjustable...I'm 5'1" and my husband is 6'1" and it makes it comfortable to use for both of us.
I love everything about it except it "feels" a little chintzy...but really that doesn't affect it's performance...I just hope it never tumbles down the stairs.
I also wish the handle would stay locked in the upright position. If don't stand it up just so, the handle falls over. But, still, that's no big deal really, just something to be cautious about.
This vac was rated well by Consumer Reports too! :)
