I purchased a HP Refurbished Sparkling Black 17.3" Pavilion through Walmart and got the free site-to-store shipping. The laptop was exactly as described and was ready for pickup ahead of the promised date. Everything worked properly, and setup was fast and easy. The display is bright and sharp. This is a very good value for the price.

The labtop arrived 2 days after i ordered it . The laptop looked great , no scratches or anything was on it , it looked brand new. It was ablr to meet all my needs and it is very easy to use and understand . Also it had great feautures and the screen was wide and great just how i wanted it . Im glad I bought this ,hp laptop!!!

over all the computer is good. Windows 8 will take some time to become familiar with. I think that windows 8 is emulating the app concept so we I take that mindset, I find it easier to navigate with.

I am happy with my new laptop. It has a beautiful big screen and works good. It is fast enough for my needs. It took me a little bit to get used to Windows 8 but now I'm okay with it. Burning disks, surfing the net, listening to music, etc. the battery lasts about 3 hours. If it did not say "refurbished" I would have never known it wasn't brand new. I am satisfied with my purchase and glad I bought it from Walmart.

Refurbed HP Laptop Computer is Worth Every Penny

I was shopping around for a replacement laptop computer for my six year old refurbished laptop from a different manufacturer and decided to go for it, but this time with a HP refurbed laptop. This laptop smokes my old laptop at 1/3rd the price. I haven't bought a new laptop for years and I'm certain this one will be in great shape for another six years. Do yourself a favor and get the Wal-Mart two year warranty because this laptop comes with only a 90-day warranty. Bottom line: After purchase price, delivery charges, taxes and the two year warranty I was still ahead at least $100-$200 and this laptop looks and runs like NEW. I'm sure it was refurbished, but its NEW.

Looking for a gaming computer, Found it! This computer has met and exceeded all expectations I had. Great computer for the beginner and the pro. Window 8 I was a little afraid of due to other comments made however it turned out great. Easy to use and very efficient. Love this machine. Best computer I have ever owned. Gamers I use all the latest games including Assissans Creed III, Works great, no problems and graphics are exceptional.

This laptop exceeds my expectations and fills my few needs. I like the excellent picture that i get when using Skype, all my photographs and music and my daily email use. I find Windows 8 easy to learn and navigate. I read that some people are negative about W8 but often do not voice anything specific about it. I am satisfied with the refurbished HP it works fine. No dings or dents looks new.

The only tech this has at halfway is the display. It is high contrast, but what I consider half retina, which is enough to allow serious editing of HD video and big megapixel raw photos. Can do the work of a media center, and uses all the power of PC software and adds the new apps that work with windows 8. (watch them mushroom). Be sure to download Start Menu 8 from www.download.com so that you can toggle from the app version to the classic PC version.
I was able to copy my old files, install my old software without exception, using 64 bit versions when available. I have a Picture/Video/Audio USB 3.0 hard drive and a Data/Backuo USB 3.0 attached all the time, and they are Fast!!! Keep a copy of the free Spyware Terminator to clean the gemlins away on your web browser, and things will stay fast forever. (also on download,com)

When I first opened the package, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was in excellent condition. I powered it up and it loaded very quickly. The only glitch when I first started the process of logging in I made numerous user accounts not realizing I was doing so until I went to log on. I did finally delete the other user accounts. I have never worked with Windows 8 and am still in the process of figuring out all the little nuisances. So far, I have been very happy with the laptops capabilities and how easy it is to maneuver around Windows 8. I am still trying to figure out how to go from the Windows 8 app window to my desktop with one click. I am still researching this part of Windows 8. I loaded my Microsoft Word products and am happy at how smooth the process went. The programs are running very quickly and with no problems. The internet loads quickly, something that my older HP laptop was not able to do. I would sit for five minutes waiting for the pages to load. I did find out from my internet service provider that the slowness might have been because of the modem I was using so I upgraded that and with this laptop, it loads very fast.
Overall, I would say I made a good decision buying this laptop. The AMD Quad-Core A8-4500M accelerated processor and the 500GB hard drive are great value for the money. I would recommend this laptop and like someone said in his or her previous review do not let "REFURBISH" scare you. I did buy the two-year protection plan just in case. This is not my first purchase buying "REFURBISHED" products from WALMART.com. Previously purchased an Acer Iconia Tablet for me and a family member and another one was bought for my brother-in-law. So far no problems with those products. These refurbished products are just like new. Therefore, if you are on a budget do your research save some money and buy these just like new products.
