Outstanding CD-- i cannot recommend it more highly. Miss Boyle is wonderful on every single song. THere is not ONE you would skip. The duets with Donny Osmond are amazing.
The highlights to me, "Out Here on My Own" as well as "As Long As He Needs Me", and "Memory"- star turn by this outstanding singer - get it for everyone on your xmas list and they will love it!! I already bought one for a friend whose birthday was in mid November, and she LOVED IT.

This album not only meets, but exceeds expectations. With the expert help of her new producer, Susan Boyle has given us a masterpiece in Standing Ovation! The promise of that amazing audition has been fulfilled. The raw power and beauty heard in Miss Boyle's audition has now been honed to perfection and she imbues each song with a depth of feeling unmatched in today's music industry. If you are a fan of musical theater, you will be literally over the moon with these renditions. But if you aren't into musical theater, it doesn't matter. If you love good music sung beautifully with lush orchestration accompaniment, you will love this album. It is destined to become a classic and is easily Susan Boyle's best album to date.

I've loved Susan Boyle's voice since she came onto the scene and really enjoyed all of her CD's up to this point, but this one is without a doubt her best one yet.
The orchestration is beautiful and powerful where it should be, but it never overpowers beautiful vocals.
A lot of these tracks are my all time favorites from musical theater and the duets are terrific. I knew that Michael Crawford's would be and it didn't disappoint, but was completely surprised at the beauty of the 2 duets with Donny Osmond.
This time I really can't choose a favorite. So often CD's have a few good tracks and the rest are fillers, but every track on this CD is a winner.
Not only will I recommend this to friends, I'll be buying several more copies for Christmas gifts.
