I bought two of these as gifts. Both will be used to record extreme sports, snow boarding, baha truck racing, sailing, and large RC planes. The units are very compact, water proof, and can be controlled wirelessly. These new units have some major lens improvements permitting much better quality. You can truely achieve some exciting results. There are several accessories available, the WiFi remote being a must for action shots.

Bought the package deal that included the camera, head strap and the SD card as a freebie as part of it. Used it once so far. Took great video. The only thing is sometimes my computer will read the camera and sometimes not. I think the camera may have a glitch.

Even directions very poorly written ....mainly chinese with only very little in English. You have to skip about 1 paragraph in Chinese for each direction to get a few words in English every time. Menu very difficult to see and try to decipher the strange symbols. No LCD screen to see your movie. Cheap dull plastic housing.....looks like a $10.00 camera. Returned it next day.

Just wished there's a way to have the volume higher, you can basically hear yourself but not the person your talking with..no big deal and also just wished there's a screen to check the view before you actually record it..there is a small LCD you can attach but it will cost you extra, between $50-$80..regardless of all my wish, this camera still gets a 5/5 stars :)

NOTE: Memory card not included and internet required to set up before use. I bought this as a birthday gift, surprising the person while we were staying in a cabin up in the mountains. I assumed it would need to be charged before use, but nowhere did it say "Memory Card Not Included" or "Internet Required" until after he opened it. No internal memory either. I had to drive half an hour into a nearby town to do all of this so that it could be used. Very frustrating!

I have the hero 3 white edition and the battery only lasts 30 minutes. These cameras are temperamental and locks up on you. Needs better software.

I initially bought this camera for my husband to use in his race car at the track. But now we use it quite often for almost any reason. Great resolution, even on the lowest setting. Amazing wide angle range. The audio isn't great but who needs that anyway. The suction cup mount is fantastic. Love this camera :)

The Gopro3 white addition is a great sports cam. Did the update and had it up and running fairly quickly. Using it for scooter rides through the neighborhood. Took some basic home movies of a child's birthday party and noticed the wide angle captures the action without having to pan the camera. I've been trying to go digital with no tape and still get HD quality. Use the iPhone as remote. This device is just phenomenal. Love it. Does not zoom but it can be taken right to anything in any environment. I've got big plans for it. *BRING THE ACTION*

After looking at the GoPro website and watching the high quality video demonstrations that the cameras are supposed to put out. I took advantage of the great Walmart prices and got one. As soon as I unopened the box and saw that I needed to do an online update from GoPro. I was disappointed. My disappointed only escalated as I tried to find and read the online manuals/instructions and get the camera to function as advertised.
I finally got feed up with all the grief that came with this purchase and a very underperforming camera and returned it. I got the Kodak PlaySport ZX5 and have never looked back!!

I bought this as a gift for my husband since he does downhill mountain bike, and he loves it. It has great quality, and the price wasn't bad at all. I think it was the cheapest I could find it for. I also got it in less than a week in great conditions. Can't complain.

Purchased as a gift for my outdoorsman husband. He likes it well enough, it's small and light weight. However, the camera does NOT COME WITH INSTRUCTIONS!!! You must go to their website, waste a couple of hours trying to locate the instuction link, finally give up, make a request to all your friends on facebook for help and someone might know how (we lucked out and one of his friends knew how). Takes a while to download and even longer to print...about 70 pages and 2 ink cartridges later...

Amazingly awesome! Love the wireless option, and synching it to my android app. However I ordered it online, and it came preopened (by someone else), and they gave me a 32gb flash drive instead of the cheesy 16gb micro card wich is worthless anyhow... lol

It was smaller than I was expecting but can do 10x the things that any other camcorder can do. The only thing I didn't like was that I thought it was going to come with more extras. Each extra for the camcorder costs a little bit more, but you can't even do these kind of things with other camcorders.
