Of all the Santa flicks I have seen, Santa Clause the movie is the best. You learn all about where Santa came from and how he became St Nick. You see the elves and learn who they are, as well as a wonderful story about one of those elves... but I don't want to ruin the movie for you so I can only tell you, you and your whole family will love this Christmas classic.
