I just decided to charge this camera before giving it to my daughter as a Christmas gift only to find out that it doesn't work. Unfortunately I will be returning and purchasing something different before the holidays. It's really frustrating when stuff doesn't work right out of the package.

This is a very nice camera, and it comes with a case and a memory card which makes it an even better value. The camera has a rechargeable battery, which is terrific because I won't have to buy a bunch of batteries if my son leaves it on. I think this camera is perfect for an older child or a teenager because it is easy to use and can also shoot short videos. While it may not have all of the bells and whistles that an accomplished photographer would want, it is more than adequate for someone wanting to take family or vacation pictures.
I used site-to-store shipping which is very convenient. This was a gift and it was very nicely packaged.

Terrible close-ups

Outdoor pictures were very good if not excellent, indoor pics were dark and grainy even with flash but closeups were terrible. Grainy and blotchy, almost looked like they were taken thru several windows, color was mostly red with patches of colors that made a face look fake! We did try all settings, all distances and all sizes, still very bad closeups. Wanted to upgrade our old Fuji camera E500 but it turns out that old one is far superior. Returned camera.

Just received it yesterday, has lithium battery that has to be charged before use. My old Cannon used regular AA batteries so they were always handy and I also had some rechargeables to use so this maybe inconvenient if I have to wait to recharge this one battery all the time or buy a second probably pricey one. Although the battery seemed to charge up within a half hour. Instructions were easy and simple CD setup for importing pictures. Took 30 initial photos and took over five minutes to upload them from the camera. I thought that this was a little bit of a long time for just 30. My old Cannon would upload pictures a lot more than 30 in just seconds.
That seems to be the only major downside that I have discovered so far. Very light weight, have to keep it very steady or pics will be blurred. Came bundled with 4G memory card, nice nylon camera case well padded. 100 free photo prints coupons from Walmart with expiration date of 9/30/13. Overall well satisfied with it so far with intial pictures and would recommend it to anyone of any age for use.

Seems to be a great camera so far. There are a lot of options within the camera to change different settings, but easy to set. You could put it on one setting and never really have to change it. Seems like a good replacement for my Kodak, which no longer was compatible with my computer. The camera seems to work properly with Windows 8, which is why I had to replace my Kodak. Comes with everything in the box to get started right away. Took me a day to figure out that I was putting the battery in wrong, probably would of help if I read the booklet enclosed.

I bought this cam 2 weeks ago and only used it today at a friends wedding today. I seriously wasted my money - the camera takes terrible pictures - it can't detect when to use flash, despite setting it most of my pictures are dark - it also takes blurry pictures. I am very disappointed. Thos who reviewed this cam as good are not telling the truth. The good thing is: it has built in rechargeble battery. Quality of the pictures if below average. I have serious buyers remorse - will be returning it tomorrow. Very sad it ruined capturing my best friends precious moments.

So far the camera has exceeded my expectations. It produces clear shots with or without flash. The internal battery life is 170 shots between charges (no external batteries). The added memory stick and carrying case made it a very good deal. I noticed the price had gone up to $53 from $49 but still a good point-and-shoot camera.

The camera takes very nice pictures and the options and upload features are very simple to use. The downloadable owners manual is direct, to the point, and simple to navigate in case one is need of additional information or troubleshooting methods. I highly recommend this item for anyone looking to take pictures for special events or on a daily basis. Great camera, case and includes the smart card. The price can't be beat!
