Great computer. Runs windows 7 32 bit. So the entire 4GB of ram is not accessible. However since the video card is sharing memory this is not a major issue.
me being a computer junky; I downloaded the 64bit version of windows 7 and res-installed. Worked perfectly then I added a new video card and moved over a 1TB drive to the available space under the CD ROM drive.

Everything was great about our purchase but upon opening the box with the keyboard inside it was found to be broken. The boxes themselves were intact so can only assume this happened prior to shipping. Not a major problem though because the young mans mom has a spare keyboard. Otherwise everything was excellent.

I would never know that these were refurbished. I have had excellent luck with both of them. I DID have to return one and reorder because someone had stolen the "key" and the backup disk. They took it back with no hassle and I reordered. Would buy again.

First the example of the picture on the back side was not correct. There was no printer attachment unless you had a printer that would plug into the USB port. Than every program I loaded into the computer would not come up after installation. The only positive thing is that wal- mart did refund my money. I have not made up my mind if I try another refurbish computer or just get a new one. But one thin for sure it will not be a HP.

I got this for my husband who had a very old desktop. So far it works good and is much faster then his last one. For the price it was worth it. The only negative thing that I was not aware of is that it comes with no programs. I will have to buy microsoft office.

There are many free programs out there that work just as well or better than Microsoft . Before buying check out what is available for free , Office Products , Anti-virus's , and Computer clean up tools are out there to help keep your system running like new . Ask friends and co-workers with computer knowledge what worked for them , asking sales people and business owners would be an error they will point you to a product that they own or have a vested interest in . You went cheap try and keep it that way :)

I opted for the store pick up; which turned out to be a good idea because it came earlier than expected. The computer and keyboard was neatly wrapped and in good condition. I purchased all the necessary cords, hooked it to the monitor and it started without any issues. I debated for months whether to buy the same or similar computer from Amazon but what sold me on Wal-Mart was the 2 year warranty....which Amazon does not offer. All in all I believe I got a good deal.

You would never know this is refurbished by the way this PC works or looks! hasn't one scratch on it or a spec of dust.
My dad had his own computer shop before he died in 2009. He cleaned them out and resold them. This is far better. You can't get a better buy for the money. The windows 7 is the recovery disc for this machine. I like the fact it can be upgraded from 4gb Ramm to 16.But you will find it fast enough until you do it.I am on a fixed income I feel like I got top of the line! It has a 80 GB Hard drive which I will change to a larger one sometime this year.No rush right now.

This is a good pc for it"s price, all though i would have loved it if it had a better graphic card and i wish i had gone for some extra hard drive memories 80gb is too little even if you think you will do minimal installations. but overall this is a good value,i mean what do you expect for under $150 bucks !

i bought the computer for my kids and they are loving it, so much better than the other one they have (it is about 7 yrs old). my only complaint is the keyboard (which is why i gave it 4 instead of 5 stars), 8 of the numbers don't work and it is very thin and feels like it will crack when you are typing. at first i thought, well they can use the 10-key pad for the numbers, but then i realized they wouldn't have the symbols (i had to do a search for "at sign", then copy and paste it so i could enter an email address to access the internet). so i bought a new keyboard ($7 and much nicer than the one it came with, so i don't know why they bother with such a cheap one) and will keep the other one as a spare. it would be a great buy even if it didn't come with the keyboard & mouse. and if it matters to you it really does need to lay flat as shown, no biggie it's on top of the desk instead of in the space made for it, but that's ok. it's an excellent comp for kids or anyone who can't spend a lot on a computer. i would definitely buy another one.
