Great bargain - definitely not a powerhouse

This computer is a great value for what you get; however, we were really disappointed with the speed and ease of use. Not fans of Windows 8 and it runs slower than our 3 year old laptop on Windows 7. Nice monitor is a plus (sound is terrible.) Also - doesn't include Wifi so you'll need to hard wire it or buy an adapter. Also advertises HDMI which the unit has; however this model's monitor doesn't include an HDMI input - just VGA. Thought that was strange.

So far I'm impressed with this computer. I have to get used to Windows 8 a little bit, but the adjustment from Windows 7 is not that hard.

I despise the Windows 8. I can't run two of my programs that I use on an everyday basis on it. It isn't "compatible" and have to use my old desktop for them anyway.

I did not realize what a hassel Windows8 would be! Have never owned any other brand of computer than Gateway and will buy another...just not one with 8 on it! If your last computer had XP on it, DO NOT buy a computer with 8 on it! Am going to try and put Windows7 or some earlier iteration on here to see if I can get this thing to work to my satisfaction. Had been using Firefox as my internet browser. Going back to Explorer, I am now reminded of why I switched a long time ago! My bad for not doing enough homework before I bought this. I will stay with Gateway though, being a creature of habit and all.

My daughter bought this computer last month. Its on the internet via ethernet cable right at the modem and works perfectly. However, I bought this one not lnowing it was NOT WIRELESS and could not get it to stay on the internet no matter what I used. Pverall a great little computer cor students, not for a home business. I exchaged it for a Dell only because its the only wireless one Walmart offered. I returned it to the store and Walmart promptly put the mkney on my card snd I was able to go home and order thd new one the same day. Love Walmart!

Has more ram than my 8 year old computer, bigger hard drive, but much much slower, should just have spent the money on a Mac. Window 8 is terrible, why fix something if it isn't broken where is the start button

I love this computer, and Windows 8 is so much easier to use than the other versions. Set-up took 10 minutes and I am by no means computer savvy. The system even recognized my printer and added it as hardware. You can't beat the price either.

I recommend a all in one packaged at the cheapest price for new computer owners or those that want a system for kids. with the Windows 8 OS, navigation is gear towered the younger generation and still has features us long time users like and love. very simple to hook up and get started. I recommend using the multi user accounts for kids and other members in the house so that system administrator doesn't get messed up.
