The gardenia plant was beautiful with many nearly opened buds. I followed directions carefully since this is my favorite flower. It seemed dry on arrival so I gave it water. Instantly the water began pouring through the sides of the bamboo basket. On examination it appeared to have nothing but a root system with the lack of real soil. I replanted it with potting soil and larger pot. unfortunately I lost the large buds but there seem to still be small ones. I recommend repotting immediately on arrival.

I bought this for my mom for mothers day of 2008. As of Nov. 2008 it still has not bloomed for her and she can grow anything! The greens were very healthy looking. She was very disappointed and so was I. This was the 1st plant I've sent, I usually send flowers and have never had a problem. Not sure if the climate was wrong?? If so, shouldnt they tell you that? They know where it's being del'd.

I sent Fragrant Gardenia in Bamboo Basket to a friend for her birthday and she enjoyed it. It arrived with buds and bloomed in a couple of days. Unfortunately, it arrived with no card so she really didn't know who sent it until she asked me if I had.

I definately recommend this product to anyone who wants to send some love out to someone! We ordered this for my grandma for her birthday. Not only it arrived on time, but it was exactly as everyone else describes it on the website. Grandma told me that it already had numerous buds and one big bloom, and that its fragrance was so overwhelmingly wonderful! We live in KY and she's in GA, so this was the best way to wish her a Happy Birthday (aside from UPSing her a package!) It was well worth it, and over exceeded my expectations... just making her happy on her day!

Sent one of these to both my mother-in-law and my mom (in Texas) for Mother's Day. Both plants were pretty with many buds. However, several of the buds ended up falling off and the other did not bloom. They said they will plant them. So, maybe they will end up blooming next year one they're planted and stablized.

Arrived at Mom's house in beautiful shape for Mother's day I did not see till Memorial Day and it was still very green and several buds. Mom wanted it planted outside where we think it will live for a long time. What I loved is that it was not a real large plant but still looked healthy and ready to bloom.

I was under the assumption that this gardenia plant would arrive for Mother's Day, which it did not. (I ordered it the Wednesday before Mother's Day) Secondly, the plant did not have any white flowers on it, as per the picture, instead it had only green. This was very disappointing.

I was not able to personally see the gardenia plants (I ordered 2 for 2 different recipients in 2 different states - Ohio & Illinois). Both recipients said that the plants were beautiful and had many buds ready to open. I ordered tulips last year for Mother's Day through this site and again, I was told the flowers were beautiful.

I received this plant for mother's day. It was so beautiful, shinny leaves and full of blooms. One bloom opened, and I was thrilled. But another one half opened because it was defective. Then I noticed that another one dropped off. I have it in my picture window, and it gets sun and light, but I have a question. The plant has all of this stuff around it. I don't know what you call it, and I don't know whether to take it away from the plant or leave it be. I looked at it today, and it looked rather peaked. I want it to survive, and I don't know what to do for it. I just love Gardenia's. I would like any info you can give me to restore the plant to its good health. Thank you

Not only was the plant in relatively poor condition, it was not a gardenia at all but a minniature rose. I was very disappointed. The price was good but the product received was not worth the price. I probably will not use this again.
