If your kid has colic than this is a perfect book. It seemed to talk about nothing but colic which is fine. I got a few good tips out of it.

Our 3 week old would not stop crying. A nurse recommended this book to us. I am so glad we got it! The advice is so simple and so effective! My baby and I are both much happier now. We also got the DVD - I would recommend that as well!

I was skeptical of this book, but after a couple of months of dealing with a baby with colic, I was ready to give anything a try. To my amazement the advice in the book worked. If I did the five S's (or in my case four, we didn't need the pacifier) in order it would calm my daughter down, usually in minutes. The only thing I would recomend is to buy a white noise machine, it is so much easier then trying to make a sushing noise for more then a few minutes.

I gave birth to my first children, a set of identical twin girls, last December. My mom gave me this book right when I had them, and of course, did not have time to read it all the way through. I did read most of it, and it was SO helpful. The "5 S's" was probably the best part of the book. Because of what I WAS able to read with the hectic schedule of taking care of twins as a first time mom, I managed to get both girls on the same schedule, they've been sleeping through the night since they were a month old, and have been 'easy' babies. I purchased this book for a cousin who just had a baby and will be buying one for everyone I know who has a baby. I highly recomend it.

I was disappointed, after it was so highly recommended. A lot of the information was given at the hospital, the day after delivery. I was looking for something to ease the growing pains of teething. Maybe I'll try the other book, at the library, to see if it meets my expextations.

This book is a more in-depth look at why babies cry and how to soothe them quickly. The complimentary video is a great tool but if you are looking for more of the "why's" and "how comes", I would recommend reading this book.
