The Coleman Xtreme 120-Quart Green Cooler is a dependable workhorse. Designed to hold up to 190 cans and keep ice frozen up to 5 days in 90-degree temps, the 120-quart cooler is ideal for camping and fishing trips, weekend racing and extended roadtrips. Havent used this cooler yet But can say the other reveiws are right on. sturdy although probley heavy when full, plety of room to freeze your own ice blocks and still have room, The cooler I had used was a smaller coleman good for a one day mabye at a beach. But I like to go out for a weekend camping. Like the green one, too blend in with surroundings. Looking forward too spring with this cooler.

I purchased this cooler to use at my son's graduation party to fill with ice and bottled water for our guests.
We are also planning on taking camping, however, I would have liked it to have a divider or tray inside to separate one side from the other.
Overall, it looks like a great cooler, has a drainage hole on the bottom, and will definately work for our family.

If You Need a Big, Sturdy Cooler

you can't go wrong with this one. The price on this was a great value. What I particularly like about these coolers (and I bought two of them) is the shape - not as long and thin as similarly sized cooler and I think easier to handle. There are no latches which I've found tend to break fairly quickly. The dark color (the white ones look dirty quickly). I used these to pick up a side of beef (about 150 lbs of meat). It fit easily in these with room for enough ice. They kept the meat solidly frozen for the 220 mile trip from the ranch to home. I couldn't be more pleased.

i bought this (green) coleman 120 cooler because i already own 2 of these coleman XTREME (series) coolers. in 2010 (or so) i bought the coleman xtreme 70 qt here on walmart.com for about 50 bucks and thought that it was a large cooler (and it is) but it does not compare to this monster! i also own the coleman xtreme 120 qt (blue) that i bought in 2012 for around 55 bucks (also on walmart.com btw figured i spent $50 on 70 qt, so $55 for 120 qt was a no-brainer) so i knew what i was getting. i don't mean to sound morbid but you could literally fit a human body in one of these things! (and wouldn't even have to dismember it haha sorry couldnt resist) but seriously, this thing is great! it holds a ton of food/drinks and is still easy to carry with 2 people. when not using these for keeping things cool on my camping trips they work great for storing my camping gear! most importantly these (coleman xtremes) do as advertised.....they will keep food cold and ice solid for many days in very warm temperatures. i live in southwest ohio where it can get into the 90s and 100s in mid-summer (when i generally use these) and i take these out for 3 or 4 days no prob! (very little ice replenishment) very easy to clean (just spray with garden hose and wipe out). very durable and for camping purposes are not easy to open for critters (even those clever little raccoons we dont have bears or anything like that here) i normally dont do (long) reviews but i just love these coleman xtreme coolers (and all coleman camp products...I SWEAR BY 'EM) and i appreciate other reviews when i'm looking to buy. hope this was helpful.....if you're looking at this cooler, PULL THE TRIGGER! (you won't be disappointed)

unexpected quality/performance

Purchased this cooler for late summer fishing vacation. I was a little tight on money so went with the cheaper/est cooler of size (100qt.+). I expected this cooler to be only low to mid grade performance because of price, BOY was I WRONG. on our first trip we used it for fish fillet and food storage. Outside daily temps near 80f. Used only 6 bags cubed ice which kept all food very cold for 5.5 days. Next trip we stored our food for a 10 day camping trip in it. We put 4 blocks ice on bottom and then stacked in food on top. Put in additional 2 bags cubed ice on top. With outside temps in mid-seventies I expected to need to re-ice around day 4 or so. 8 days after placing ice in chest we still had enough to keep food cool. This cooler keeps ice amazingly well for any cooler, let alone a "cheap" cooler. It is stoutly built and handles very well. The size allows for storage of a lot of product but not too much so you can still lift the fully packed cooler with two people. That becomes a problem with coolers larger than this one when fully loaded! Overall this cooler has surprised me again and again. Don't waste your hard earned money on any other expensive cooler! This one will perform at least as good as any higher priced model. Thanks Coleman for a wonderfully dependable piece of quality product at an awesome price! -GP Gaston
