So far so good. There are many apps available to make the nexus 7 do what you want. You just have to do some research. you can make phone calls, read books, watch videos, navigate, take notes etc. I can do everything my iphone will do except only on wifi.

With an impressive screen and convenient size, as well as a very competent processor, this is a great tablet -- particularly considering the price. It would be greatly improved with a micro-SD slot to expand its capacity, and don't bother with the camera...but it seems specs have to be trimmed to keep the cost at a minimum. Highly recommended, at least until the next plateau is reached (about every 6 months?).

I was looking for the Nexus 7 in the 8 gigabyte but could not find one. I decided to go with the 16 gigabyte for $50 more and that way I wouldn't have to worry about running out of memory. It is a good product, it works fine for what I got it for(surfing the web), and you can't beat the price. The size is very convenient, thought it may be to small, but it has proven otherwise. I'll bet this will be the hottest Christmas gift this year.

I bought this nexus 7 for my mom. She's not very tech savvy but she loves the tablet. It's much easier for her to use this than a laptop. I also like using the nexus. I have an android phone so I'm familiar with the android platform. Videos and pictures look great on the tablet. The size is perfect for portability. I would recommend the nexus 7 for anyone looking for a great value on a tablet. It costs $130 less than the comparable iPad mini and has better specs.

This tablet has been great. I've used it a lot this last week since my smartphone broke. Its small enough to easily put in my work bag and pull it out as needed. Gets great battery life and looks great. Several people have asked me if its an ipad mini. Would definitely recommend to anyone and at this price its an incredible value.

Battery lasts forever. Runs fast and easy to set up. My only issues with it are the lack of an SD card port of any variation and the Android OS doesn't run flash player. otherwise great buy!

This was my first tablet. I wanted something small that would fit in my purse, to be able to use during a trip to Europe. I just wanted to be able to look at maps, check mail, and communicate with my kids back in US while I was there. I decided to purchase the Nexus 7 because of the excellent reviews I read about it online and the smaller size. It looked great, easy to use and I loved it, with the exception that it stopped working on the 4th day of my trip. I didn't drop it or anything. Maybe it was the x-ray from passing thru the security at the airport in one of my connections, I don't know, I'm not an expert. I can't recommend it.

For the price it's a very good entry into the tablet world. Rated highly as an android tablet and ratings appear valid. My grandsons say it isn't an Apple but I can check email, use the GPS, download books, and use the voice activation system to Google search. The google now function is fun to use while traveling!

I was mainly looking for a way to stay in touch with clients on the go and this is perfect. It is fun and lots of free apps. I am not WiFi savvy having used ethernet for many years. It is nice to get in bed and not have to sit at my PC desk. I could spend 10 years learning how to use this because there are so many options.
