this is a great portable hard drive for travelers and people who are constantly on the go. it's quite small, easy to pack, and is super fast because it is USB 3.0. It comes with backup software on it that I didnt use (the first thing I do is always format a hard drive because I never use the stock software), so YMMV. otherwise, it's been reliable, copies files quickly, and does its job exactly as you'd expect it to.
great price, but I think if I were to get another one, I would get a 1TB or larger. you always need more storage space, no matter what you think, so I'd encourage getting this drive with larger capacity.
the enclosure is made of plastic, but the top has a brushed metal LOOK to it. the bottom is a matte finish. there is a light that glows when it's plugged in so you will know when it's on.
overall, the drive stays very quite when in use and is compatible with USB 2.0 if you dont have a USB 3.0 port, which is important.
great drive overall, highly recommend it.
