This item is very nice, but the instructions ar not very clear. I was listening to my audio book and every time it went to the next chapter the CD player skipped to the next chapter. It doesn't happen like that when I play my CD on my computer or any other CD player.

Have been searching for a decent CD player/alarm clock for months--should've checked walmart.com FIRST. Love the two levels of lighted time screen (high light vs. low light), plus a third click of the button turns the light totally off for darkened-room sleep, but the alarm clock still wakes me right on time.

The backlight is so bright that I have it dark all of the time. There are three settings for the backlight - Superbright, Bright, and Pretty much off. I have it pretty much off all of the time. The other problem I have with it is the volume on the alarm itself. I prefer to wake up to music. The volume on the alarm goes up! It starts where I set it and within seconds it's ridiculously loud. I needed that when I was in college, not now. I haven't tried waking up to a CD yet. Since I can't find my receipt to return it, I will probably end up putting in another room. On the plus side, I do like that the radio display is digital. There's no guessing if I'm in the right spot.

I purchased this radio for my boss's office and it hasn't been 2 months and it will not work. It will not play cd's, the radio, or tell time. The only thing that works is the blue light on the screen. I want my money back. This doesn't even deserve 1 star.

I was excited when I found this cd/clack radio for my Daughters room. But like others said they used a cheap CD motor which is very noisy. It's sort of whirling sound with a soft chirp very second or two. I had bought a Sony Dream machine ICF-CD815 which is almost identical for my other Daughter's room ($45 range). I was hoping to save some money getting this one ($25) but no luck. This one is going back and I'll get the Sony.

I wanted this so I could listen to CD's on it, and for a better quality radio. The radio part works alright, but every time I play a CD it makes a loud noise. Another problem with this radio is that it takes awhile to learn how to set the time, and alarm time. I also don't like how quickly the volume increases when the alarm goes off. I do like how you can turn the clock light off, so that isn't shining on you while you're sleeping.

We thought it looked very sturdy and had high hopes. Didn't bother messing with the clock because the cd player was lousy - played very few of our cds and the ones it did play skipped or bounced around. The box warns that it can skip if it's moved - but we didn't touch it. BAD deal. Returning it.

I have never had an alarm clock that is so difficult to set. I followed the directions and set the time for the alarm, set the wake-up mode to radio, set the frequency for the radio station, adjusted the wake up volume and dimmed the light so that the light was off (the lower light setting is still too bright). About an hour after setting the alarm, I was awakened by the light on the clock which had reverted back to its brightest setting. Apparently the clock automatically re-set itself to factory setting... the radio frequency was back to 87.5, the volume was set for loudest and the alarm was back to 12:00. I re-set it all the second time. About 3:00 AM I was awakened again by the bright light. I got up, found the instructions and re-set the clock again.... following the instructions to be sure that I had not missed anything. I went back to sleep and woke up about an hour late in the morning only to find that the alarm clock had reverted back to its default once again.... the alarm was off, the radio frequency was back to 87.5, the alarm time was back to 12:00, the volume was set for loud and the light was at its brightest. If I didn't know better, I would think that I was on Candid Camera or something. It's ridiculous. DO NOT BUY THIS CLOCK! I am surprised that WalMart is still stocking this item now that I have seen how many poor reviews are already on file for this clock. I will be taking it back as soon as I can find the time..... no pun intended.

I bought this for the price and the size. It was perfect for my nightstand. I read instructions, plugged it in, fixed the clock then put a CD in it. The CD played for about 30 seconds and quit. So I tried another CD, same thing happened. After the 3rd CD quit, so did I. I am very disappointed because this was exactly what I have been looking for, for weeks.

This did not come with instructions or a manual. I cannot get the cd player to play a cd. Can anyone help me or share their manual with me. I have been on line for 4 hours and ONN does not exits not does the manual.... I even tried looking under Intertek and no luck. Does this company even exist? I bought this off ebay and no one here likes it. Help!

Embarrassed to say this was the first alarm clock I've had that I would consider not user friendly. Didn't matter in the long run, because it lost power exactly one month after I purchased it and I can't get it to come back on. DO NOT BUY THIS ALARM CLOCK!

I like sleeping and waking by CD. My CD/radio clock radio is almost dead so I thought I'd buy myself one for Christmas. Had never heard of Onn so thought I'd give it a try. After Christmas tried setting it which took quite a while. The instructions are confusing and for a couple of nights I had to turn on the light to find the CD button. I found the clock light to be too bright but when I dimmed it the numbers turned light grey and had difficulty reading the time. It wasn't worth keeping so I returned it. Glad I did after reading all of these reviews.

I bought 2 for my kids for Christmas. BOTH WITHIN A WEEK DIED. I was hoping it was a fluke so I exchanged them for new ones. ONE BROKE WITHIN 2 DAYS. I'm just waiting for the other one to go. Wish I had read all the other awful reviews before I bought this. WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.

I got this clock home, set the time and alarm, played the radio for a few minutes, played a couple of CD songs (it skipped back to a previos track for now reason in the middle of playing), and something inside burned out. We could smell the eltrical burning smell, and it never worked again. We returned it.

I don't know why it's so hard to find a decent clock radio now days! They all seem to have the same problem. They're too small. This one is so bad and the buttons so close together that you have to turn a light on, put on glasses so you can read the functions, and look at the manual as to which button to push! I was surprised that the sound was quite good, but I bought it as much for functionality as an alarm clock as I did as a radio. Sorry Walmart, but you're getting this one back!
