Because it would NOT hold any of the system update(s). Everytime it was turned off somehow it got lost. I reordered one to replace the one I returned & it works much better. But I was still extremely disappointed in my original purchase.

The first one I picked up at Walmart would not charge at all and the back had some imperfections, so I sent it back and got another one. This one works really well but I wished the battery life was a better,you get about four hours out of it before having to recharge.Larry

for the referb price this thing is awsome.the internet connection is good and strong it never loses its connection,the video is nice the only thing I don't like is the quality of the rear camara when zoomed in and I can't use an external usb keyboard with it other than that this tab ROCKS

This is my first tablet, so I was kind of nervous about getting this refurb tablet, but trust me it was worth it. I have not had one problem with it at all. Now it doesn't come with a manual so you will have look up some things on the internet like I did and kind of feel you way around it. You can't even tell it was a refurb product. So far I have been able to get 6 hours of battery usage out of it even with the wi-fi engaged. I just set the Brightness down to one of the lower settings. The main two App Stores I put on it are the Amazon App and the Good e-Reader App, and between those two you can't go wrong. But before you can put any Apps on it, first you need to go into Settings, and then Security, and then under Device Administration check the box besides Unknown Sources, this will allow you to download and install the non-Market Apps. I was able to download Kindle for Android and a whole lot of games and other Apps. I didn't have to upgrade because my tablet came with the Android 4.0 already on it. I love everything about it. So order it and try it out, you won't be disappointed. You get a great deal for just $150!!!!!!!

This little tablet is the first I have owned and it meets all my expectations. I was able to get the manual for it from the web. The manual could be a lot more complete, but that's how things are these days - requires self-discovery. Being a retired software professional (yup, UNIX and C) I find the self-discovery part of the fun.
The apps available seem to be endless and none have crashed the machine as others have reported. I'm using one of the PDF apps and the one for NPR radio among others. You will want to get a micro-SD card to hold more data and as an easy interface to your computer.
I wish it were possible to connect a full size keyboard, but alas the USB port is a slave only and will not support any external peripherals.
Nothing has gone wrong so far. I purchased the additional warranty just in case.

This is a great tablet. I have never had a Acer before but it works great. The first one I got was messed up and needed to be returned but besides that I LOVE IT. Brand new this is like $270 so this referb deal is GREAT!!!! The screen is hard to see in sun light that's one thing that is not good, also the camera isn't that great. The touch screen works awesome too. It is not one of those pressure sensitive touch screens, thank god!! Works like a apple product, just not as good. lol
