Keeps directing me back to startup repair then says it can't boot from installation CD. Just goes around in a circle and won't boot up. Acts like it is infected with a virus but I've never put anything into it but the installation cd after it wouldn't boot up. Never connected to the internet. They didn't get previous viruses out of this thing. MY RATING IS ZERO.

I have purchased 4 of these refurbished computers for my office and they all worked out great except for one. It would not boot up correctly and was basically useless. I had to make the trip to return it at Walmart, which was a hassle. Although I asked for a full refund, I did not get refunded for shipping. Aside from that, these computers have worked out really well. Some of them have a few minor quirks (not going into sleep mode, loud hard disk drives) but overall, they are outstanding for the price

I thought I would try to save some money by getting a refurbished computer, but what I got was basically a slow outdated dinosaur. It didn't come with the same processor listed on the add or my receipt. It had very little software on it, so by the time I downloaded Microsoft word & everything else it was lacking to do much of anything with a PC I should have gone to the store & bought a new computer. I tried both contact phone numbers given for Joy Systems customer service (which is the company that refurbished it & markets it for Wamart.com) to no avail. Neither number is a valid #. I recommend that Walmart discontinue their relationship with Joy Systems!

The product I received was faulty, but Joy Systems, the people who refurbished the computer, have okayed it for me to received another through Wal-Mart, then when I'm satisfied the new computer works properly, I will return the previous one. I'm very pleased that Wal-Mart is working with me on this. They're very concerned with a good product.

Unfortunately I could not tell how well the computer functioned because it did not connect to any monitors that I tried and we have several monitors that work in our office on other computers. I had to return the machine and I am reluctant to try another one, since I was told that other customers that bought refurbished computers from the same source experienced the same problem.

Computer was fast and in great condition but DVD tray would not open,you would think that this would be checked when refurbished.Took it back for refund with no problem,thinking twice before buying a refurbished desktop especially a Dell Desktop

Computer shipped earlier than estimated time. Had for about a week and a half at this writing. Replaced 8 year old computer that had the motherboard die that was a 512mb RAM/160GB hard drive. So this is a whole new level of performance for me. Use it mainly for web surfing, email, and word processing in my home office. After buying this, there is no way I could see myself spending 3 or 4 times more for a "new" computer with the same sized RAM and hard drive.

So nice to buy a computer that hasn't been pre-loaded with "trial" programs, etc.; don't forget to pick-up USB wireless router + doesn't have HDMI out + buy an Apple keyboard for this unit too (theirs is VERY cheap) ... all making it a excellent computer for the money!

Scanning the reviews before I placed an order made me realize that buyers of this particular product from this particular seller have had one of two experiences: either they get exactly what they order and it's fantastic, or they get something they didn't order and returning it is a nightmare. For my part, I got exactly what I ordered and it seems fantastic - I get a little wary about reviewing tech so shortly after purchase, but the machine performs admirably right now. Essentially, you have to decide for yourself whether it's worth the gamble; if you win (and it seems most do) you get a very powerful machine for less than the cheapest piece of junk they stock in the store. All the specs check out. The one caveat, if you consider it one, is that the included USB keyboard and mouse are very flimsy; but I suppose you could argue that they didn't have to include one at all and it would still be a good value. I was mildly annoyed that all peripherals are USB, so I had to use the cheap included keyboard instead of my awesome (but older) one that had the older 5-pin connection. All in all, I did the research and I believe that this was the most computer I could get for my money.
