This has a lot of features and comes loaded with applications. I couldn't find anything negative with it. Works great, has good range on WIFI. Has the best rating feedback of all the tablets. Great value for the dollar. It was a toss up between this and Nextbook.

Please, please, please spend more and buy the NABI 2 for kids, or a Galaxy Tablet. HKC tablets are practically disposable. I have had an iPhone, a Nexus 7 and a Kindle Fire... All have been dropped and none have cracked. The first HKC that failed was dropped 1 foot or less and the corner of the screen shattered. The second one lasted 6 months and now has a mysteriously cracked screen. No drop, no mishandling. My daughter guarded hers with her life practically and even though she took excellent care of it, this thing is JUNK. DO NOT BUY!!!

This is my first tablet. I've discovered a major problem. This tablet, like many, does not allow full access to the user. In Windows we call full access "administrative privileges" and in Linux we call it "root access." It means you can't even be aware of security breaches and you absolutely can't control access to sensitive data. I would never use my credit card or transmit other sensitive data using a tablet of this type.
I wanted to use this as an mp3 player so I could play downloaded podcasts and music while I go to sleep. I thought it would be a simple procedure that had been perfected many years ago since mp3's have been around over a decade. Nope. This HKC P771A 7" Tablet doesn't have a timer and I can't install a timer from the Google store because that requires root access. The built in mp3 player won't manage playlists well. I tried a couple of different media players but the soft controls within any app, on this tablet, often don't work or cause an undesired shutdown of the app. So, no timer and no reliable media player means I can't use this tablet for music, podcasts, or video.
One day after I started using this, some "service" forced updates to about 15 apps even though I told it "no." That increased RAM use from 300MB to 500MB and the tablet became severely sluggish after that. It also meant that half of the available RAM for apps is now used up even though I didn't want to waste that much. I'm not going to bother trying to remove unused apps because it's obvious there's too much placed beyond user control. Things are sure to be "gummed up" no matter what I do. I'll just be wasting my time.
Google doesn't like Adobe (Macromedia) Flash so you can't use any web site that incorporates Flash and you can't install Flash because you can't get root access to the tablet. Google also doesn't allow AAC audio for some reason. You can't install that either. (No AAC means no "IHeartRadio" app. No Flash means there's lots of web sites that are inaccessible--like my local tv news web sites and my local newspaper site.)
So, because of these limitations, I can't install the apps for my local tv news, NOAA (weather), newspaper, Trimarc traffic cams, local public library, and several others.
Some hacks are mentioned around the web that will "root" a tablet but they are often unreliable. They would surely void the warranty. There's only a 90 day parts/labor warranty on this device so I could wait 90 days and try the hack but chances are it would fail.
Is it worth $79? I don't know. Maybe. I'm going to give it a few days but I'm keeping my receipt and original packaging handy.

I am very pleased with the HKC tablet. It does everything I need it do! This price was terrific, unbeatable really. I have added a 16 G micro card to make sure all apps I wanted to download had the space to save them. I have music , pictures and games on it now. Lots of room left on the micro card. It is a little touchy to the touch. That is my only complaint. It is a little off in placement of your finger or pen point. For the price I am happy as I can check emails and be online anywhere I can get WIFI. Happy with purchase!

I purchased these tablets for each of my children. They are SO easy to set up and very user friendly. The only downside is that screens shatter easily. We are on tablet #2 for my son and tablet #3 for my daughter (and I wouldn't say my children are extremely hard on their things). I would definitely recommend buying cases that protect these. And also purchase the Walmart protection plan...trust me! Ha ha!

You get what you pay for, I have a kindle fire but bought this tablet in order to get Skype, couldn't afford the new kindle fire HD so I opted for this cheaper one, (big mistake) the two are worlds apart, this one is lightweight but in a cheap way, it takes forever to turn on, and then when it is on the battery life is just a couple of hours and not five hours as others have said, the keys have to be pushed hard in order to work.
I will end up returning this, and getting the kindle fire HD.

I bought this because the price was so low and it came in pink and had google play. I didn't expect it to be so good! Quality is as good as any IPad could be! Fast and good response to touch it was perfect! I am older and need a bigger screen so returned it for a bigger screen but it is an excellent tablet!

I purchased 5 of these tablets for my grandchildren for Christmas. They were able to get one month use out of them before all the power chords began to break. (The pins all broke off one after the other) I have been in touch with HKC now since January and one reason after another they haven't gotten them to me. First I need to send the proof of purchase, then I needed to take a picture of all the chords showing I had the 5 and the broken pins. Then on back order now since March and now today they call and want me to send back the ones that are broken before they will replace them. The tablets themselves seem to be really good but the power chords are junk and their support team is absolutely horrible. They don't return calls and keep putting you off and off again. I email and contact them atleast every other week and still have no replacements.

Very Fast and Responsive Tablet. Video is super clear. Speaker could be a little louder. Nice tablet. Bought it for my 4 year old daughter in April 2013. She is enjoying it so far. Software is like what is on the galaxy so its not hard to use. Price is good for specs. bought it for $99 wish I had waited as it is now $79. Only front facing camera, no rear camera. correct item shipped and it arrived on time. Battery life/up time seem significantly less than the galaxy, maybe about 3 hours. It gets hotter than the Galaxy when used for long.

I bought three of these tablets, for 2 grandkids & my daughter. We had problems with one, it just quit working. I took it back to Walmart & returned it. They gave me a gift card for the amount & I turned around and ordered another tablet online. Everything on the other 2 have been working well. Some very nice features in such an in-expensive tablet.
