I prefer netbooks to tablets and Windows 7 to 8, so I was looking for a good netbook that still had Windows 7. The Asus 1225B fits this perfectly. This model has extra RAM and battery that you won't find in those black Friday specials.
After using the computer for a few weeks I'm not at all disappointed. The speed and battery life are adequate. The screen is bright enough that it can be used on much less than full. At first the track pad buttons seemed too stiff, but after a while you realize that you need to press them all the way to the left or right rather than the middle.
It could have been a little thinner and a lot lighter to make it truly meet my expectations. It is actually slightly bigger and heaver than the two year old HP netbook I was replacing it with.
If your looking for a netbook this is a good choice.

Read many reviews on this Asus and the brand seems to be a favorite to most reviewers. I was pleased by the build quality and finish but the computer locked up too many times as though it was struggling with windows 8. Also very slow with opening and downloads. I returned the product. Not worth the price as it performs much like it's lesser counterparts.
