Like it so far...

This bb gun recently arrived, so I have only gone through 1 CO2 cartridge (90-100 bbs!) with just the short pistol. I was hitting pop cans and plastic pop bottles from 30-40 ft with the open sight (not every shot). BBs were going through the pop cans. The manual encouraged not leaving the CO2 cartridge in place during storage. I contacted Umarex to get an idea of how long "storage" meant. Response from Umarex was not even overnight. In general, I am pleased so far with the gun's performance, feel and looks. It is rated well on other air gun web sights. I wish the cartridge could be left in place for a longer period of time and not compromise the seal, as I may only wish to take a shot or two at a time (gophers).

Do not waste your money!!

This gun lasted 142 days and was only used 4 times. I used this gun just for target practice in the backyard and I only did so once a month and used one full cartridge per use. Then it stop holding its seal and all of the gas would leak out of the gun as soon as it was placed in the chamber. Do yourself a favor and avoid this waste of money. Poor craftsmanship!!

Question

Was the gun left with charged CO2 cartridge fir days without use? I have read storing some CO2 guns for days or weeks while pressurized is not recommended.

All co2 air guns often need new seals .

Should of still been under warranty . Those seals will go bad if you do not put a little oil on the co2 bottle every time you put one in and always take it out when storing . That little seal is no big deal . You should be able to get a half dozen or so for under $5 or they should send them for free if your gun is under warranty . Don't throw it out or get frustrated , fix it or have them do it .
