Installed 1 HP pump in about 5 hours. Replaced flimsy hoses with PVC piping to match exsisting system previous set up of saltwater pump with shut off valves, etc.. Awesome power and circulation throughout our round 24x24 pool. Thank goodness NO MORE hard to clean paper cartridges to rinse every other day. Our pool is crystal clear and no hassle. Several different levers, instructions are simple, once you read over the booklet a couple of times. Follow instructions completely, and you will have a great powerful Quiet filter for your pool. Got my first electric bill with this unit installed, it was actually less. We find we are running both the salt water system and this filter about 6 hours a day for our large pool, and is doing the job.

We had a heck of a time receiving the Roaring River Pool and Spa Pump and now that we have it and it is installed, the thing overheats. I have a 3 yr warranty and can't figure who to contact. So if you are a rep., CONTACT me ASAP!

We purchased this filter because it seemed like it was a pretty sturdy filter. We have had a pool for more than 15 years and have experience with how the systems work. This filter cannot run more than 30 minutes while vacuuming or it overheats. It does not have a true on and off switch you literally have to unplug it. There is also not any way to stop the water from coming out while you are trying to empty the filter basket. Most filters have a stop valve. I will never buy something like this again for WalMart.

This pump is the best purchase we have made since we put our pool in. The water is crystal clear all the time. My vacuum is working better than ever, and with the reservoir i can put my chlorine tablets in and keep the water in great shape!! I would highly recommend this product. it isn't easy to put together but once that is over within 24 hours you are enjoying the fruits of your labors.

Best thing I ever did for my pool

I have an 18' intex metal frame pool that my family has enjoyed for going on three years now. The first year was fine, but the paper filters were a nightmare and keeping it clean and clear wasn't easy. The second year I added the intex saltination system and the water stayed clearer, but cleaning was still very painful and timeconsuming. This year I added this sand filter and man what a difference it has made. The saltination system keeps the water levels right and the pump\filter keeps the pool so clean and crystal clear you can see from one side to the other like there is no water in the pool at all. Best of all when I finally buy a real metal above ground pool this filter system will do the job. Don't waste your time and money by trying to make those pathetic little pumps work with your pool.
