The Vizio 42" Class LCD 1080p 60Hz HDTV with Built-In WiFi, E422AR combines a 1080p Full HD picture with top apps like Netflix, Hulu Plus, VUDU, Pandora, Facebook, Twitter and more. This Smart TV also features ambient light sensing technology for a perfectly-balanced picture that's never washed out or too bright and SRS StudioSound HD audio for advanced virtual surround sound. Three HDMI ports provide the ideal connection for a Blu-ray Player, laptop or game console, and it meets ENERGY STAR 5.3 guidelines, making it kind to the environment and to your wallet.

Got this for teenager son for Cmas....its a great tv, great pic, great sound! He loves the wifi...Netflix, Facebook! I went by the reviews I read about this tv to make up my mind on which one to buy. He wanted a bigger tv, this one is the perfect size for a bedroom...bigger than mine!!!

I love this T.V the only thing I don't like about it is that when you turn it on it take like 15 sec to turn on and I'm used to it when you press power it turns right on. But other than that I LOVE IT!!

well all I can say is this model is a piece of junk. picture quality is low. sound is average. some of the built in features are NOT functional. eg thumb drive "via" USB video playback is a JOKE. managed to get .jpeg and .mp3 to work, and Amazon never worked. menu claims that the tv has a AV input connection on the back of this model it does NOT have one. "BTW I also looked @ other VIZIO models and they don't have this ether" FCC requires this on ALL tv's STILL. picture also has artifacts and lines that show up on the bottom of the screen. and 1 HDMI out of the 3 didn't work. BTW the users manual was NOT included. *I had to download it* the pdf manual also mentions video playback via USB but under USB control in the manual NOTHING is shown.
over all I would DEFIANTLY NOT RECOMMEND this brand of tv to anybody.

My only compaint is that the Vizio television takes approximately 50 seconds for a picture to appear after the "on" swithch is activated. Compared to other band televisions we have in our home, this can be a bit frustrating. However, it allows time to make coffee, eat breakfest and take the dog out. Only kidding! If you can get used to the wait-time for the picture to appear; the quality [of the picture] and sound are worth it.

Got this for my bedroom, but when the lights are low the picture is very dark and hard to see. I tried all the settings with no success. Returned it for a samsung ln46e550

It took some trial and error to figure out how to keep the picture from going dark, but now it is as good as the display model in the store showed! I am a little disappointed at the "smart" TV aspect. I was hoping to be able to view online broadcasts through the TV but found I have to go through a secondary piece of equipment, in this case my son's playstation, to be able to do this.

overall the picture is super..and the online apps are pretty cool it was a great buy ..it is just a tad bit slower the the 120mhz..but the only time you notice it is when you see..solid colors like black filling the screen..overall..Glad we bought it..

Everything seems to be just fine. Haven't had a change to really enjoy my TV, however, I have seen it a few times. I was very surprised. I was expecting it on Friday but on Wednesday when i got home my son said he had a surprised for me in my room. I thought, "I hope they picked up some of my paper work" but instead, my TV was in my room and set up. Nice!!

It was so easy to set up. The picture is great and the sound is awesome. We can plug in a sound jack for headphones for my husband, who is hard of hearing, and I can still control the external volume for myself. That's a super feature! We have it mounted on the wall in a small room and it's perfect.

I love the apps that are on the smart tv function. The hdtv is a great all around unit for watching sports or movies, it holds through to the test of my quality standards. I chose not to get 3d on purpose because it isn't that impressive. lol I am an overall happy customer of Vizio and Walmart.

This particular TV was not available in the store and only available on-line. I paid the on-line price of $400 and have not seen that price since. The TV will access wired or wireless internet and has built-in apps to interface with numerous services like YouTube, Hulu Plus, and some sort of Vizio "Youtube" like service. The one issue is when surfing these on-line apps, the alphanumeric input is rather difficult to navigate without a full keyboard. You have to use the rather small remote control to cursor around to the desired letter or number. I suspect most smart TV's without some sort of keyboard will have the same issue. Other than that, great TV and great picture.

The normal mode is so dark

I purchased this TV for my parents but when they set it up, the picture was so dark. It was bright in a second and went to the dark mode. They had to set it in vivid could work little better. The normal mode (detault) was so dark. I think its ambient Lighting is bad. We have to exchange another unit.

I ordered this TV as gift for my daughter. It arrived seemingly undamaged. However, when we plugged it in it was definitely damaged. The shipping method needs to be upgraded by Walmart so that TVs can arrive without damage and the inconvenience of having to return the product.
