This device is worth far more than I paid for it. Very reliable. Occasionally have to power down the system to reboot when using the wifi (Netflix). The only performance complaint. Otherwise, exceeds the factory specifications. Also I wish that when using Netflix you could add to your queue directly from the device. I highly recommend this device.

Pros: great sound, great price, great picture. Cant beat the home theatre n blue ray for $99.
cons: initial setup as far as getting everything working together was a lil, painful but figured it out. Also does not have an optical input. Only audio output my tv has was the optical output. Had to run around and try to find a converter

this product came laoded with basic applications..I could only access Netflix Que and watch those movies..I could not select my movies from the netflix menu..Also I could not conect to Pandora..( my favorite music program)...

THE SYSTEM GOES UP IN VOLUME FINE, BUT THEN THE BASS TURNS OFF AND ON IN DIFFERENT SEGMENTS. IT'LL START BOOMING BUT ALL OF A SUDDEN YOU GET A SOUND WITHOUT ANY BASS.

Blu-ray works great but....

The player works great. The sound is OK for an inexpensive system.
The box it came in showed no signs of damage, but there where a couple of dents on the case of the player (rather large dents if truth be told). but the unit works fine and when in my rack the dents are out of sight.
The sound is better then any flat Screen TV alone, but a little weak when compared to the toshiba system it replaced.
For the money I still believe it the best buy out there. only thing that would make it better would be more inputs. my Direct TV box takes one, and the MP3 input I have hooked into the Wii with an adapter i bought at radio shack.

After going through several expensive ($400-500) Blueray Home Theater's in the past several years, I decided to try a different route. I bought the Phillips Refurb. I was very pleased with the quality of the player. The speakers were a little light but it sounds a heck of a lot better than the TV speakers. It was worth the $100. I also spent the $12. for the extended waranty . I figured why NOT! Hurricane Sandy took out the last one.

I bought refurbished System, so I had bit less expectation from the product. But When I received the product, I found that atleast the manual was missing. I still tried to put pieces together and took me long time to make that work without manual. I found that if I play DVD, then all speakers would work (Rear speakers didn't work as they should be - They were giving very light background sound which was not clear enough). When I played any show on TV, only front two speakers would go off. Others wouldn't do anything. I returned product thinking it would be better to add some more money and get the better system.

The only downfall to this player is that to play your tv through it you need extra cords. Other than that, it works great, sounds good, and includes everything needed to play anything from the blu ray player. It also has netflix and vudu.

The quality seems reasonable although I have not used it too much yet. I am not too sure about the 1000-watts. The base does not thump like my older Yamaha system. However, it sounds pretty good. Blue Ray player with sound for $100 is hard to beat.

the product is lousy,,i hook it up to my tv only two speakers work,,,the sub-woofer is lousy,,they said its 1000 watts thats also a lie with the sound you get from that thing no way its a 1000 watts..i am sending it back i have spoken to the manufacture they are sending a replacement lets see what the replacement does,, PLEASE DO NOT BUY,,
