I see good reviews for the Panasonic brand on here, but I have to tell you, every time there is a power outage, it take HOURS before my TV wants to turn back on. I Googled this and talked to Panasonic techs, and this is a very common problem. I'm taking mine back to Walmart, thankful that I was smart enough to buy the extended warranty, and getting an RCA. (or any other brand!) Very disappointing!

I am not the most technologically sophisticated individual. I have had this tv for about a month now, and so far it meets or exceeds all my needs. a digital tuner that can also tune my non digital vcr output by coax cable (which of course i use to tune in the signal from my old school nintendo of circa 1985). hdmi ports for devices of today's age, and rca inputs for my almost-ancient game cube. pretty much anything you want to plug into this thing, can be hooked up straight out of the box with no extra cords. I don think it came with hdmi cables, but it DOES come with the RCA connector (it can connect both old school RCA audio/video inputs, or new school component video.) The only thing this tv lacks is decent sound or speakers. if you want a home theater sound, or even something that will play louder than the vacuum cleaner, this tv will need a separate home stereo. luckily this tv does have a digital optical audio output for just that purpose. I haven't bought a home stereo yet, but i need to buy one anyway, so just knowing that the tv will easily hook up is enough to make me say: this tv was worth buying, and i have no regrets about the choice.

Bought this TV to replace a 46" Sony Bravia as for features the Panasonic can't hold a candle to the Sony. But again the price was less than half the price of the Sony, considering that I guess i got what I paid for.

I picked this TV up about a month ago from Wallmart to replace dead 47" Sanyo. They did not have it in stock so I ordered it online with free delivery to store. Saved me about 40 bucks. In fact delivery to store probably the best option anyway, packaging is not strong enough to survive standard FEDEX handling. Read Amazon reviews, most complains about TC-L47E50(identical model with 120Hz RR) related to poor factory packaging.
PROS:
Exellent picture quality out of the box. Gets even better with tweaking. NOT reflective Nice looking TV, very thin. SD card slot Smart TV. Web apps and DLNA 4 HDMI inputs Build quality
CONS: Sound is so so. Can use a sound bar or external stereo system. No build in RCA output. Purchased TOSlink to RCA converter on eBay for 17 bucks to use with wireless headphones.
