Although there are many BG meters / strips, this has proven to be a reliable product at an excellent price. My actual blood tests have been within a very small margin of error when compared to my average readings using the RelinOn product.

My other meter testing was 80,78,80. At the same time this Relion tested 89,101,82 - Now what am I suppose to do with that? Everyone knows these meters are inaccurate, but they should be CONSISTENT.
The price + strip price seemed too good to be true -- And it was!

For the first six months of my diabetes I used a well-known brand of test meter and strips. Like a lot of products which require consumable supplies which must be periodically replaced, the primary unit--in this case, the meter--was very cheap, about the same price as the ReliOn Prime. However, the testing strips were outrageously expensive, running at most local outlets about $65 for a container of 50. Naturally, the price made me often decide not to test more than once per day because I didn't want to waste the strips. Finally, for such expensive items, the competitor's test strips required a much larger sample of blood. Very frustrating, especially when you're new at the whole testing routine and getting enough blood not to waste a strip because of the meter error "sample not large enough" becomes a daily ordeal.
The ReliOn Prime test strips are much less expesive, which means I don't mind testing more often, and because of that I'm learning more abut how my glucose levels fluctuate in the course of a day. Equally important, the ReliOn Prime test strips require about one half the sample of blood that my previous system did. It's been months since I had to throw away a strip and try again because the blood sample was too small. Don't be fooled into buying a testing system made a well-known pharmaceutical company. The ReliOn Prime meter is superor, too.
The ReliOn Prime test strips are much less expesive, which means I don't mind testing more often, and because of that I'm learning more abut how my glucose levels fluctuate in the course of a day. These strips are very reliable, and the price is awesome! If you are newly diabetic and looking for a meter, any of the Relion meters are great choices. The cost of strips is a major factor when it comes to being able to afford to monitor this disease. I actually buy them for my cat, who is much better regulated now that I can afford to test him at least twice a day. It's such a great product that my two local Walmarts are frequently out of stock - hence my need to order online.

Can't tell if it's correct without solution

These were by far the best deal on test strips. This is my first foray into glucose testing, so no comparisons, but they seem to work fine, and require very little blood to work.
That said, accuracy is vital to saying if this is a good deal or not, and I have no idea if they're accurate, since you can't buy the testing solution online or in the stores for this meter. You HAVE to go to the Relion website, then give them ALL your personal info, before they will ship it to you free. (Just why do they need my phone and email info, to ship me a product by mail? Can they send it to me via email, or phone?)
I really resent having this solution held hostage until I divulge my personal info to them, for what unknown purpose. Medical info should be kept private, and I shouldn't have to tell anyone my medical history, or private contact info to make sure a product I PURCHASED works properly. They should make the solution available anywhere the product is sold, rather than holding it hostage. Bad form Relion. Bad form.

This product is in very high demand because when I go to Walmart to purchases more test strips, they are almost always sold out at the diabetic testing supplies section by the pharmacy. Before buying more online, I will go and check if there are any avilable at the store. If not, then I will definately purchase more online. For the price that they are at ($9.00 for box of 50 strips), I will purchase up to 10 boxes if needed. They are the best and most affordable test strips I have purchased so far.

Seems like 1/4 of the strips do not sip up my blood (I use enough blood for it). Very good price for these but I'd like to see a better quality control on them as I don't have enough cash to get a new bottle prematurely because of some kind of manufacturing short cut.

For years, when I only tested once a day, I used one touch strips. My co-pay was $50 for 100 strips. When my doctor put me on insulin, requiring me to test 5-10 times a day, I switched to Relion. They are a high quality but low cost alternative to one touch.

finally a quality much cheaper option. I have had type 1 diabetes for over 37 years, iam dumping one touch today, i reccomend all you diebetics check out the cost savings, now if we can do the same with insulin that would be great.
