Mattel Barbie 3-Story Dreamhouse
The Barbie Dreamhouse is the ultimate luxury home, and it's newly renovated with fab pink columns on glamorous photo-real wallpaper. Three fabulous stories include an elevator, lights and sounds. The first floor features a dining area, fully stocked kitchen and elegant, light-up chandelier. The second floor has a living room with a TV and "Roaring" fireplace, plus a signature-style bathroom. On the third floor is a posh bedroom suite with canopy bed and an outdoor balcony with a hot tub and Tiki lights. Sounds built into the Barbie Dreamhouse include a doorbell, kitchen diner, crackling fireplace, running shower water and flushing toilets.

My Grand daughters are twins,
When I gave this doll house to them for their birthday on Tues. 4/30 they went crazy with joy because it was something that they wanted. Today they told me that they had already assembled it all by themselves without any help from anyone.

I took about about 45 minutes to put together and that was only due to the poor instructions that come with it, so I spent some time looking a the photo on the box. Aside from that my 4 yrs old is having a great time playing with it.

Background stickers on very crooked!

We opened the box and immediately saw that back wall stickers were on so crooked that there were huge bubbles. Some gaps were around windows and were the perfect size for little fingers to stick in and rip, so we knew we had to fix it. We had to unscrew the whole house to get to the bottom seams to carefully pull the stickers up to straighten them out. It was ridiculous. But, that said, the house is really cool and has lots of fun features!

The Barbie house is hard to put together with very little directions that explain the main columns of the unit belong in specific holes. However, once together it definitely is exactly what we ordered and hours of fun for my girls.

This is exactly what my grand daughter wanted for her birthday. Her dad set it right up and she has been having a blast with it since. The fireplace didn't crackle, but I googled it, and needed to snap it to the wall flat, and presto! It worked. SHe was so happy.

I bought this as a present for my daughter two years ago and although we loved it when we first got it, it has not faired well over time. The plastic is thin and children need to take great care with the furniture and accessories. Not ideal for younger children. The chairs for the kitchen broke very early on. The furniture is not well made and easily breaks. I have hot glued almost all of the furniture. Definitely not as sturdy as the furniture I had as a child. If I could go back in time I would have a bought a wooden one for the same money.

The only thing I could find wrong was the chandelier that is supposed to light up does not. Other than it was a little pricey and the chandelier, its great. My daughter is so happy with it.

Our daughter is VERY into barbies. She creates scenes, families, whole worlds with all her barbies and their gear. Having the dreamhouse was a dream come true for her. She is thrilled with all the features and delights in rearranging and storytelling with it. Also, as a child of the 70s, I can say that this version is sturdier than what we had. :)

I was disappointed that I had to construct the house, then find out two of the electronic items did not work. (Fireplace and chandelier)
I have to return it to the store. I would like another, but feel I may get the same results by ordering it through Walmart.
The instructions also were not clear.

We knew we needed this product, the only question was from where. I looked online at Amazon, then Target, ToysRUs and WalMart. This product is BIG and the shipping cost was crazy, except for Amazon. However, the cost at Amazon was much more than WalMart. When we saw the total cost less, then shipping of only $2.99? SOLD. Plus, it came super fast. Sometimes you get a deal on shipping and then wait 2 weeks. This came in a couple of days. Will start my search with WalMart next time!

A friend bought this for christmas for his daughter and my daughter saw it and couldnt stop talking about it.We purchased it for her birthday and she absolutely loves it! It is really easy to put together and took only about 45 minutes.I like it because it contains everything,furniture,dishes,bed,so it is a complete dollhouse and you will not have to buy additional items.

I bought one for my granddaughter, who is 12, for Christmas a year ago. She loved it. This Christmas she decorated it for Christmas with a miniature tree and decorations she made. I bought this one for my other granddaughter who is turned 5. They have both had hours of fun.

My eight year old daughter just got this for her birthday, her comment was " If I only got this for my birthday, that would be enough"! She and all of her friends love it. I havn't gotten the fireplace and light to work yet but I think I saw something in another review on what to do about that. It's a little expensive but I found at Wallmart is is quite a bit cheaper than the other stores, even with the small shipping fee.
