As far as I can tell, this is real leather and not the fake stuff. This surprised me because of the low price. However, it smells like leather and has the feel of leather.
It's a little tight using the earplug port, but it works. I didn't have to cut the material.
It's not a big deal, but the case is shipped without instructions. I had to look at the photos at the Walmart site to figure out how to display the Kindle Fire horizontally.
The case is very stylish; looks a lot more expensive than it is. I am very satisfied with the purchase of this item.

Most of the cases I've priced for my Kindle Fire were at least 30 dollars and higher. When I found this one on the web site I figured I wasn't going to find on cheaper. It came and I was surprised to found it was nicer than many of the cases I found in the store and much cheaper. The only bad thing was it wasn't offered site to store and it was a little hard to to plug in the headphones. I got the them with a little effort. The case is great it covers the Fire and it forms a stand so I can read or watch my movies with ease. The other nice thing is it comes with a band that folds over the case to keep it closed with I'm not using it. I brought the Kindle about 3 months ago and since I've got the case, I've used more in the past week than I have since I got it. It makes it a lot easier to carry it around

Received the cover 10 minutes ago... Delivery day was supposed to be on the 22nd, so YAY! got it earlier than expected! I purchased this for my daughter's Kindle Fire. I had looked on the amazon website for specific kindle brand covers, but they were too expensive. I wanted her to be able to have a stand to watch movies or even when reading a book. We share her kindle and I got tired of having to hold or prop it up.
As for the details- love the leather smell, I don't even remember if it is Leather but it sure smells like it. The fit for the kindle fire is really really snug, and the little side slips cover the headphone jack.. nothing the scissors couldn't fix! lol... a little minor adjustment and the 13 yr old is loving her new case and enjoying her Kindle fire even more now!!!
I defenitely recommend this product! :)
