I AM IN LOVE WITH MY PURCHASE! I BOUGHT THIS A YEAR AGO AND RECENTLY TOOK IT OUT THE BOX. I EXPECTED TO SEE A DULL COLORED WOOD PRODUCT BUT WAS SURPRISED TO FIND A VERY RICH LOOKING HONEY PINE BUNKBED. MY 7 Y/O DAUGHTER LOVES CLIMBING UP AND DOWN HER BED (OVER AND OVER AGAIN) AND I DON'T MIND AT ALL BECAUSE THE BED APPEARS TO BE VERY STURDY AND STRONG. HER GRANDFATHER PUT HER BED TOGETHER IN ABOUT AN HOUR. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AN INEXPENSIVE BUT GREAT BUY THIS IS IT! I DO WISH WALMART SOLD THE DRESSER, ETC SO I WOULDN'T HAVE TO PIECE TOGETHER A SET BUT FOR THE PRICE I PAID I CAN'T BE MAD AT THAT.

Received bunkbed in time for grandson's birthday, but it contained a faulty part. The manufacturer is replacing the part without question, which is good, but the bed couldn't be put together in time for the birthday surprise for which it was intended. This was a bit of a disappointment. Have to wait seven to ten days for replacement part.

We got this bed for our 7 & 5 year olds. They LOVE them!! They were fairly simple to assemble (me and my husband did it in approx 2 hrs), only a few hiccups with holes not lining up and such. But if you have a power drill like we do, you can just drill a new hole - no biggie!!! They are stable even with the 7 year old (approx 55 lbs), climbing in and out. WE ARE EXTREMELY PLEASED!!! We would DEFINATLY recommend this product to anyone looking for a SAFE, inexpensive space-saving solution.

Was hesitant of buying a bunk from Walmart as we had searched many high end furniture stores for bunks and weren't pleased with the quality of some. Figured I could return it if I didn't like it. To our surprise this bed was awesome! Looks making and super sturdy! Well worth every penny and we are very picky about quality. Good buy!

Sturdy but chipped wood and stripped screws

I bought this in the espresso color and it is a beautiful stain. However a few of the pieces weren't exactly the right color. Also there were some pieces with chips taken out of the wood. I can understand that might be from delivery. However, they mark every piece with a sticker. When I removed one of the stickers from a guard rail there was a large chunk taken out of the wood. They had covered it up with the sticker. I am not terribly upset as this is for boys and I know it will get chipped and all eventually but I am upset that the hardware to put the bed together is made of cheap, soft metal that strips very easily. Be very careful when putting together the head and base boards the screws strip very easily. Those are the only screws I had any real trouble with. Other than that the bed is quite sturdy. Your arm will ache from using the Allen wrench so much but if you decide to use a power tool go slow. The wood and hardware can't handle being wrenched too quickly or too tightly and they do not provide you with any extra pieces. You get only what you need and if you make a mistake you will have to try to find the exact piece you need.

I ordered this for my 2 boys. Shipping was super fast. I enlisted my dad to help me assemble the bed and it was fairly easy and the instructions were well planned and we really didn't have any issues with the assembly. The boys love it and it seems sturdy enough for the 2 of them. Overall, a great buy for the price.

This product wasn't quite what we were hoping for, but it does the trick. It seems sturdy to this point, and looks nice. I just wish in certain instances that some of the hardware would have been a bit more up to par. In most cases it was okay, but we looked around for a bunk bed set for awhile, and we know there are better sets that are fashioned together more securely and sturdily. I only mean that even though this bed is priced lower to sell, I still think they could have raised the bar a bit on the style of hardware it is held together by. Now that said, I do believe the bed will hold up for quite some time, and as I said earlier the color on wood is very nice.

We purchased this bed because we have two girls sharing a smaller room. Someone gave us a hand me down bunk bed that took up half of their bedroom, more space then the twin bed and crib did, and with the hand me down bunk bed we could not use the ceiling fan because the bed was so tall. After reading the reviews we decided to purchase this bed. It is the perfect size, takes up the same amount of space as a regular twin bed- no lie and it is not nearly as tall, like I don't have to climb onto the top bunk to kiss my daughter good night. We were even able to use our regular twin mattresses, but I do think to be safe we need to cut some plywood to put under them. That is the only complaint, that there are huge spaces between the slates. The bottom bunk does have limited head space, but afterall the bed is for sleeping. The best part is that when the kids get older, this bed breaks down into two twin beds, so they will never out grow it. There is room underneath to put baskets for storage and when me or my husband climb on the bed there is no creaking or rocking, its sterdy as could be. It appears to be solid wood and looks much more expensive than it was. I recommend this to anyone looking for a bunk bed, even if you have a big budget.

My father is a carpenter( didn't have time to build me a set) helped put this together. He was really impressed with the quality and look of bunk beds. Assembly was pretty easy to do ( with two people) and had no trouble. Just may buy another set.

Great for younger children. I don't think it would do well for teenagers or adults but it's a good bunk bed for younger children. Looks nice for the price. My children have had this bed for over a year now and I just bought another one for my youngest daughter and my step son. Top bunk seems wobbly for adults. Good value for younger children my children are all under 10 years old. It may do well for older children, I just say it night not because when we get on the top bunk to make the bed it wobbles a lot. I would recommend this bunk bed.

Bought this for my daughter's room - didn't want to spend $600 and up on a bunk bed and mattresses. For the price, you can't beat this one. I have no complaints about the bed itself, the instructions were very clear as well ... if I had to complain about anything, it's that the wrench they include with hardware was a little too big for the bolts. My advice would be to have a set of Allen Wrenches in your toolbox to make things easier and you should be fine. Setup took about 2 hours. Again, if you're looking for a low cost option for a child's room, this is the way to go.

We bought this bunk bed for our 8 year old son's birthday. It looks great and is very sturdy. Espresso color is correct and goes well with the rest of his furniture. The wood looks very expensive. Construction took about two hours with two people. It was fairly simple. Our son was so excited to be surprised with this! Would def recommend this bed. It was a great purchase!

This was a nice surprise! It is much sturdier than I anticipated for the price and looks very nice!!! Though I would NOT recommend putting this together yourself ... I did it!!! The box of parts was about 120lbs but managable with some effort. It took me two hours to assemble with no rest breaks and I am a 40yr old man with no health issues. (Yet! ;-) ) This was a great choice for the apartment and my boys love it!
