I had operator errors installing this unit. Called Linksys customer support and I had a great helper to get my wireless setup to work. The most proffesional service over the phone I have had. It took a while but she got all my devices up and running. Thanks to Walmart for the price and Linksys for their sevice.

Multiple Family Gamer Nightmare

I had a linksys router that was 7years old and need to upgrade, so I got this one. It was able to pick up a signal in the house well. The only problem is, it will only connect 1 Xbox to Xbox Live at time. I tried it with 3 Xbox's and only 1 would connect at a time. I can say the support Cisco gave me while we figured out what was going was EXCELLENT. Unfortuately I will have to buy another router brand that will allow me to have multiple xbox's connected at the same time. I was able to have 1 xbox, laptop, Wii all running at the same time. But since there are 3 of us that love multiplayer games we all need to be happy. This router is not for a Gaming Family.

Poor signal strength/spontaneous disconnection

I connected this router the very same day I recieved it. Then disconnected and returned it the very next day. It has poor signal strength for wireless devices, at least where I live. Perhaps there was too much interference from external sources, but even so, functionality was unacceptable. For example, wireless devices (phone, ipod) would loose two bars of wifi signal strength simply from walking out of the room where the router was located. Constantly and spontaneously disconnected from service on all wireless devices and had even slower download speeds on ethernet (wired) connection than old router from 2003. Needless to say, I would not recommend anyone get this router for serious wireless needs.
