Great quality TV

I had a hard time finding a 32" TV with 1080p and 120Hz. I know people say that 120Hz doesn't make a difference on a 32", but that is what I wanted! This is my first flat-panel TV... I upgraded from an old 27" tube TV, so I thought a 32" flat panel would seem like a drastic improvement by comparison... it really doesn't seem that much bigger, so... thanks to Wal-mart's generous return policy, I think I will be exchanging this TV in for a larger one in the next few weeks when Super Bowl prices take effect. It's a great TV, and I will definitely stick with Samsung, but the screen is just not the right size for my living room.

Did you buy the 120hz tv? If not why are you commenting on it? This isn't a 60hz tv. You rated this 120 hz model 2 stars, but didn't mention why. What were your issues with this model, not any other.

I did alot of research before buying a new tv and Samsung out rated all others. The setup was easy although the stand is a little wobbly, otherwise the picture, sound and quality is great. And you can't beat the price.

The only thing that couldve been better was how it was delivered. The TV was delivered in the original box with my address written on it with marker. It was left on my porch because we were not home. I didnt like the fact that everyone could see what it was and then it was left on my porch giving someone a chance to steal it. I would recommend that Walmart at least wrap the box with brown paper concealing the contents on the box. It would actually be even greater if they put the TV in another box with alot of bubble wrap, as i have read on here that ppl were receiving their TV smashed or damaged.

Great picture quality, good look, perfect size at a decent price. But the TV doesn't have controls for audio or channels so don't lose the remote.

I've just gotten my TV hooked up & operational. I was disappointed, at first, that it had black bars at the top & bottom of the picture -- then I read the instructions further & figured out that I could fill the screen with the picture with the touch of a button. It improved the colors!

This television more than met my expectations. Very easy set-up (even for me!). Can tweak picture and sound to meet individual preferences. Sound beyond excellent; can keep it on lowest volume level and it is loud and clear. HD picture is so clear that it almost looks 3D. One small (but inconsequential problem) with one of the screws (or screw holes) that attaches the stand to the television. Screw would not engage. Stand is plenty sturdy anyway. Television is well well worth the price and more.

I always feel more comfortable buying electronics thru Walmart because if something does go wrong I can just take it to the nearest store for a return; no shipping or getting approval as thru egghead. I returned a different model of a tv a while ago - easy, no hassle.

Overall and for the purpose of which I bought it (bedroom TV), this 32" model Samsung TV is well worth the on-line price I paid; that said however, and even though I'm pleased with the picture and sound quality, if I had to do it over again, I'd spend an additional amount to buy a model with a minimum 42" screen.

Great tv for the money, very bright and clear.Settings are very functional and fairly easy. Perfect for small bedrooms, etc. After getting home wished I'd gotten the 40" after seeing how small it really is. This takes a little getting used to versus a tv with a larger frame. I have 65" Samsung in the den and think they are the best quality with LG running a close second(Actually bought a 32" LG 720p and returned it for the Samsung) About the cheapest name brand 1080P tv out there in this size with decent picture quality. Be VERY SURE to get thin, flexible HDMI cables as the connections are on the side of the tv. Standard High speed cables are too thick and will show! Also has a digital optical out for single cable hookup to a sound bar which I really think it needs. Sound is a little tinny, hard to adjust right even with the equalizer, which all flat panels are noted for.

This TV may seem a little pricy compared to some, but it is hard to find many TVs below 40" that have a 120 Hz refresh rate. I bought this TV as a birthday present for my son to use with his entertainment system. We wanted the greater response time and full 1080p for his video game systems, and this TV does not disappoint! The clearity is great even with alot of action going on. The sound quality is not important to us since we use a separate receiver and external speakers. It fits his needs perfectly and he loves it!

The ADVERTISED REFRESH RATE for this TV is 60HZ, NOT 120HZ! So, somewhere there is a real problem! Either the ADVERTISEMENT is INCORRECT or the REVIEWS are INCORRECT! REFRESH RATE = XHZ

MY SAMSUNG TV WAS NOT....WAS NOT....120HZ.
Posted 07/19/2012
How did you folks get 120HZ.....mine was only a paltry 60HZ, which means it should be priced lower. I priced the ones with 120HZ and it wasn't near what I paid for this one with only a 60HZ. When I purchased it, the copy with the pictures of the TV indiccated 120HZ and that's what I expected. 60HZ has so much flash and dash on the screen that I actually get nauseated! No joke, it's for real. Check your TV's to make sure the pictures you are getting are from a computer that is 120HZ. I have to return mine! Have a nice day.

ANY SUGGESTIONS FROM SAMSUNG USERS?

Either I get a great picture, or else the picture is so "bad" that it's impossible to watch. I don't want a TV that needs an interpreter to tell me what's going on! All I want is a good picture and half decent sound. I read all the information on line before I purchased it, and I hardly couldn't wait until it arrived. What a disappointment. Am working with Time Warner; if problem not resolved, I'll have to return the TV. This is my second Samsung, but it's no better than the first one. Manufacturing defect? Most of you seem happy with your purchase. Any inputs as to why your television is showing such great pictures? Would love to know. Why manufacture a machine where you have to sit with a remote in your hand and tweak away either day or night! That's ridiculous! Guess I'll go to the local Walmart Monday!!!. See what's available, age and availability of same. I am surprised that this Samsung has nothing greater than the older one has. I haven't checked the manufacturing date of this one as yet, but there's not much difference.

Try a different, more substantial coaxial cable.
Posted 08/13/2012
Try getting a good cable from your ISP if you haven't already done so. Just a guess. I noticed when I had old cords that had been used for a while, my picture deteriorated. Good luck.

120 REFRESH RATE? OR CMR?
Posted 07/15/2012
In re-reading comments about this TV, it made me aware that the refresh rate is NOT 120, but rather the CMR! Maybe that's why I see such excessive "activity" on the TV when there's an action scene. It's so bad that you can't see what's going on....just a streak of flashes. If I want to watch a sport I want to see the total sport and not have to ask "What happened? With a 60 refresh rate, possibly that's why my new TV and my old one act about the same!!! New field of endeavor: Maybe make a fortune by designing a wrist strap to keep the remote adhered to the hand! Have a good day! Oh well, I'll try another brand! Off to Walmart one more time!! Either we solve this problem or enter marriage counseling! I accused my husband of changing the channel to a forest fire, and he just shook his head and said: "Honey, I didn't touch the channel! That was the fight you wanted to see on the Jerry Springer Show!

I was looking at a less expensive tv. But, after speaking with a friend, & a brother, who own Samsung tvs, decided to get a Samsung, myself. Am SO glad that I did. Very easy set up out of the box! Nice, very slim frame & stand. Am very happy with this purchase, which replaced an old "tube tv". The free shipping was a nice bonus!

The Samsung TV I purchased is a great buy and Walmart's Customer Service Center is by far the best in the business. The TV is everything I expected from Samsung and even exceeded my expectations. (1080p) Resolution of screen is awesome and sound is so good I do not have to use external speakers to enhance the quality. This is a great TV for mid size rooms!
