The Canon PowerShot A1300 16MP Digital Camera is comfortable to use and comfortably affordable! Its Optical Viewfinder (a rarity on today's digital cameras) offers a pleasantly classic feel that's great for shooting in strong sunlight and ideal for use when your battery power is running low. Image quality is excellent and automatic with Smart AUTO that recognizes 32 predefined shooting situations and selects proper camera settings for each. A Help Button assists with simple explanations of controls. Simply press the dedicated movie button to begin shooting vivid, lifelike 720p HD video. With 16.0 Megapixels of resolution and DIGIC 4 Image Processor, images are incredibly detailed and performance is fast and responsive. Get close and shoot big with the 5x Optical Zoom with 28mm Wide-Angle lens.

I bought this camera to replace another canon. the reviews where good so i went with it. I was not happy. video feed is spotty. Pictures taken indoor are spotty. I will be returning this camera and finding another. dont waste your money on it

Considering the world seems to be passing up the viewfinder, I was so glad Canon still makes at least one great digital camera that has one! This camera has been in use a few days now and has been easy to use and produces excellent pictures. I have yet to figure out all the bells and whistles but the auto settings seem to know everything for me and has been doing a great job by itself. Easy to figure out, easy to use, easy to see why I love Canon cameras!

This camera functions well in low lighti and proides good clear photos with excellent color. Has features not found in all point and shoots in this price range...however, it lacks panorama, cropping, battery indicator.,, and requires some patience. some corrections may be done on computer or before shot is taken. It depends on what features you can do without.. All around fun as a backup camera. Even better when on sale. Can do better if price is no object.

Great photos from a relatively inexpensive camera

Our old camera was a Canon A520. The A1300 has a considerably larger LCD screen but, unlike most point & shoot cameras, it also has an optical viewfinder which can extend battery life, even when shooting a lot of photos using the LCD display, as you can turn the display off while setting up for your next photo. This camera takes great pictures, and the download time to a computer is incredibly fast, even when shooting large photos. We're very happy with this camera!

Bought this camera a couple of weeks ago to replace a very old Olympic camera and I absolutely love it! The quality of pictures is amazing and I am very pleased with this purchase. Great camera and great price.
