Best Router in the Last Year! Solid & Easy Setup!

I have owned a bunch of Routers in the past by a bunch of different companies. I am a Certified Computer Technician so I do have some knowledge but I have to say that most Novices can setup this router. What I like about it is that it stays on and connected. It has been running for almost a year straight with NO issues. My previous routers I would have to power down and power back up to reset them every now and then but I have never had to do that with this router. The only issues that I have experienced were with my Cable/Internet Company and not my hardware. I get a strong signal not only in my house but out into my driveway as well. This is more expensive than most other routers but well worth it.

The router assigns invalid IP addresses to devices. You must assign static IP address to each device for it to work. After 3 help sessions with Linksys, they gave up and admitted they had no idea how to fix it.

This is my second WIFI, but this one was so simple to install. With the other one I had to call for help and configure my computer, etc. Recommend highly.

Expensive,complicated setup,frequently disconnects

Was excited to buy this high-end product, its spec said "easy setup". The setup doc was not good, so had to call customer service. 2.4 Ghz wi-fi got disconnected frequently and after starting laptop from standby it takes a long time to reconnect. Will return and replace with Netgear N600.

Didn't know how bad my old router was until I replaced it with the EA4500. Before I thought it was an issue with Internet through-put and my provider, but everything was resolved the minute this router booted up. Setup was amazingly simple, took all of 10 minutes and that included going downstairs to test my laptop range. Videos play with no latency with HD fully supported. Should have made this move months ago.

All my computers and laptops are connecting fast with no problem so far. I got 2 family memeber in college and one in middle school plus work from home and more. Im very happy with this router.

Easy to setup - it came with a CD that did all the work. The range has really increased from my previous router. It has been functioning as advertise. I am happy with it.

I love my linksys EA 4500. I am a novice to medium tech/computer person. I bought this because there was (at the time) 1 review, but the person mention their cable company as TineWarner (same company I have). Hookup was a breeze. The cd disc that came with the product actually did all the work. I have 2 laptops, 1 desktop ,1 eReader, & a printer connected. I picked mine up from my local Walmart. The only negative I have is the price & knowing it will drop maybe before Christmas. However, I needed it now. The EA 4500 was a great choice for me. This was the first time I connected a wi-fi, thus if I was able to get it up & running, anyone can. I was forced to get a wi-fi, as the one I had with TimeWarner would not allow me to hookup my eReader (b-day gift), thus I had to dump my wi-fi with them. I will save $11.00/month or about $134.00/year for their wi-fi service. So in about in 15 months I will break even with the cost for this one. I was afraid to change at firstbecause I knew very little about wi-fi & connecting the thing. I've only had mine for a week, but I'm not having any problems. I researched, read reviews, asked questions before my purchase. I'm glad I narrowed it down to this one. The people in Walmart were very helpful & patient answering all my questions (I had many). Thank you Walmart!

This has to be the best wireless router for home networking on the market today. I love it! It was noticeably faster. I read where some people had trouble setting it up but that was not the case at all. I have roadrunner and I was up and running in 10-15 minutes with absolutely no issues what so ever. Just put in the disc and follow the directions.
I also have 2 media servers running on my network. The port forwarding and dyndns setup was as simple as it comes. I can't wait for the cloud upgrade coming this summer. That will really take home electronics to another level.
The only con was it's a bit pricey and I'm a value guy. I had a struggled buying this when I know next year it will be half the price but I'm glad I did.
