I bought this camera after my canon was stolen. I mainly needed a camera for close up photos of my new granddaughter and bought on way to hospital. This camera's zoom is useless and only results in blurry photos even zooming a few feet. My cell phone zoom is more useful than this cameras 24x optical zoom. I tried to return this camera but missed return policy by a few days. It took me about a month to get photos developed after first use because we were all busy with new grandbaby. It was obvious after seeing final photos that this camera is garbage. After owning this camera 8 months I am ready to toss in trash and purchase something worth lugging around.

My daughter bought this camera a while back and has taken amazing pictures with it! We took it to NYC on vacation last year and were absolutely amazed at the quality of the pix! I can't rate the flash b/c I haven't needed to use it, but I can tell you that outdoor pix taken with this camera are nothing short of incredible! The low cost of this camera makes the quality of the pictures quite surprising.

My Girlfriend bought me this camera and I love it. It is so easy to use and takes amazing clear pictures. I use it everyday and have never had a problem with it. I think this price is a steel. If you are even considering buying this camera please do so, you wont be disappointed.

This is the first camera I have ever liked. The batteries lasted a very long time. I have been using it for about 8 months. It is very user friendly. You can see in the viewfinder even in bright sunny days. The flash is easy to use just press a button. You can delete all pictures at one time. I have beautiful pictures and share with my e mail friends. My Husband needs a new camera and wants to get one just like mine. I think the price was fair compared to other cameras I have looked at. Definitely would recommend this to a friend. I just love it. I can't think of anything wrong with it. I am not an expert but love to take photo's.

I Purchased this camera on walmart.com, quick and easy; site to store offered free shipping, a plus. The camera arrived at the store earlier than the expected date; I picked it up at the back of the store where on-line pick-up is located, and home to start shooting fabulous photos. This is a great value for the options; 24x zoom, 3" LCD screen, and image stabilizer alone is fantastic as it keeps the photo from blurring if I move my hand a bit. I love this camera, so far it's still only a couple of months old and my knowledge is at novice level, but I'd recommend this camera. As an Art student, I take photos of all my artwork and floral designs for building my portfolio.

Recently I went to a reunion and lost my Sony camera. I wanted to replace it for photos at the reunion so I went to Walmart (The only store in town!) and bought this camera. At first I thought it was a great deal (I paid $229.00), but, only after two months the camera went "haywire" and started bleeding the batteries dead in 15 minutes! The photos were good, the operation was good, but unless you want go buy a new camera sooner, rather than later, save your money and buy a good camera that uses rechargeable batteries. (Using AA batteries is so wasteful) I had to buy another one, so I went to Best Buy and bought a Canon. LOVE it!

everything is good to go so far no problems picture looks great went to car show and park took over 500 pics they all looked great took sd card to walmart had prints made looked great so far no strain no pain i like it ordered it online it came back pretty fast so site to store was fast so like i said so far so good no complaints so get ya one i like mine pretty good i ordered rechargeable battries so iam ready to go going now c ya

When I bought this camera I though was good but it wasn't , it is too slow taking picture and it is slow for everything. The price is great for someone doesn't has a digital camera . However , I finished returned the camera and buying the Canon for $249.99. The Canon is more expensive but it is an excellent camera.

I bought this t the local Wal-Mart on clearance and only paid $83.00 for it. I am totally blown away by the quality of the pix and the ease of use. It has a lot of features found on more expensive cameras. I have only owned it for a couple of days but experimented heavily with the various settings. The pictures I took with it zoomed in were super. They were so sharp I could read the street sign a block and a half away. Pictures taken in all light levels were great.
I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews on this camera. A lot of what I am reading indicates lack of understanding on the users' parts. This camera is much more than the average point and shoot camera. It takes a little practice to get the hang of using it properly and realizing the full potential but it is well worth it.

Decent pictures

This camera works well in the perfect conditions. Low light photos are really poor, no matter what setting I use. The shutter delay is pretty long also. I was expecting an instant shutter but it takes about a second to take the picture, my phone is faster. There are some nice features like the panoramic setting and the 20 simultaneous photos, the kids had fun with those. We have had this camera about a year and the shutter button is not working as it should, you need to press really hard to take a picture now. I wish I would have spent the extra money and bought the Nikon.

My work is primarily nature photography, everything from bald eagle nests hundreds of feet away to insects and flower blossoms. I had been considering a digital SLR, but I could not justify $500 or so for an avocation when I found the Fujifilm FinePix S4250 for $149. I'm glad I did.
The S4250 manages everything from 24X telephoto (500 mm equivalent) to wide angle (24mm equivalent) to macro, all in one unit. As a bonus, I would still consider it to be a compact camera compared to bulkier units such as an SLR, especially considering that you don't need to carry extra lenses. It's not uncomfortable to have hanging around your neck all day.
In addition to excellent automatic modes, it makes it easy to override automatic in order to optimize for such things as shutter speed, aperture, etc. with a single control at the top of the camera so you don't have to fiddle around with an electronic menu. (Wildlife subjects don't tend to wait around for you.) The image quality is outstanding: if you often do postproduction processing (e.g., enlarging and cropping a distant subject like the eagle's nest I mentioned), the 14 megapixel capability will give you a rich image file to work with. Another feature I fine extremely helpful is the viewfinder as an alternative to the viewing screen, especially in bright sunlight. It makes it easier to find and follow a subject without distraction.
I have not used the video mode much other than to test it, but with 720 scan lines and a choice of height/width ratios, it seems quite adequate at the very least.
The S4250 also manages a few tricks that others may find useful. If you are standing at the rim of the Grand Canyon, you may be glad to have the Panoramic mode. The camera can also be "taught" to recognize a half dozen different faces and optimize exposure for each, which may sound rather specialized until you have tried to photograph people with highly divergent skin tones (think Scandinavian blonds vs. people with deep coffee complexions).
The package includes a minimal instruction manual to get you started, but unless you have never used a digital camera before, the controls seem intuitive and self-explanatory. The package does NOT include an SD card, so you have an opportunity to make another improvement: get a fast card like the Wintec high speed 32 GB SDHC flash card. The higher capacity (32 GB) is easy to understand: a few minutes of video or an afternoon's still shooting will fill a card in a hurry. Less obvious is speed. Think of it this way--the camera may have captured an image in a tiny fraction of a second, but until the card gets done handling and storing the image, the camera can't get on with the next image. For run of the mill situations, most people would not notice. But if, for instance, you want to catch more than one picture of a bird as it's taking off, the read and write speeds of your card matter.
In brief, if you are more interested in photography than the camera and are ready to graduate from pocket cameras, you should consider the Fujifilm S4250. It will not cramp your style.

Bought this as a Christmas gift. I thought FujiFilm was a decent name brand with quality cameras. Power button broke third time it was used. Sent it in and figured warrantee would fix it. No problem, it happens. Very surprised when a Repair Estimate came back for $82. That was more than 1/2 the price of the camera. I will take my $82 and buy a real camera. Very disappointed.
