Rust-Oleum LeakSeal Flexible Rubber Coating is an easy-to-use, rubberized protective utility coating designed to fill and seal leaks and cracks. It provides a water-tight, flexible seal that prevents moisture penetration, rust and corrosion. LeakSeal dries to a semi-smooth, firm finish that will not sag or drip, and can be top-coated with latex or oil-based paints.

Goes on smooth. Way too expensive.

I bought Rust-Oleum LeakSeal for ten bucks from a WalMart store and a $5 can of Mighty Sealer (As Seen On TV) from a Menards big box store. I bought two steel garbage cans to hold bird seed for this winter to protect against squirrels, mice, rats, deer. A few years ago, I noticed water entered through the small handle holes in the top lid. It ended up molding my birdseed and causing a lot of corrosion on the bottom of the cans. Threw them away. So this year I sprayed the Inside BOTTOM and SIDE SEAM of both steel garbage cans with Rust-Oleum. It applied smooth, but ran empty fast. I used the Mighty Sealer on the Outside BOTTOM and ran out fast. The Mighty Sealer went on BUBBLY. It looked terrible, like it wouldn't work. After the cans dried over 24 hours in my garage, I see a big difference between the two. Rust-Oleum looked a lot better quality. But it costs way too much for the little amount you get to apply. Will update to see how it holds up through December 2012.

Review 2 for Rust-Oleum LeakSeal Flexible Rubber Coating
This stopped a leak in our patio roof which we thought would have to be replaced. It was quick and easy to use, I would purchase this product again.

GREAT product but could be less expensive!! I used this on my aluminum fishing boat and it seemed to seal the leaks pretty well i havent had a leak yet. But i also heard you can also use the RUSTOLEUM RUBBER UNDERCOATING and its basicly the same thing and it costs less...so im gonna try that and see how well it works. But overall a great product!! I'd buy this before id buy the "SEEN ON TV" leak seal because it serves the same purpose and seals leaks just fine and costs less then the LEAK SEAL on tv kind.....id also recommend buying two cans if you think that maybe one can will do, because I didnt get to spray my whole 14ft jon boat with one can....and i was only spraying the seams so yeah you'll probably need a bigger can unless your just using it for little jobs. But anyways hope this helps someone save money....
