SANYO 31.5" HDTV with integrated ATSC digital and NTSC analog tuner is the latest technology for the digital age. In a glossy black finish it blends into the background when the lights are dimmed for your movies, sports and favorite programs in your den or living room. Having a full array of HDMI, component audio/video, composite audio/video and RF inputs, you have plenty of options for DVD, VCR, cable, satellite and external antenna hookups.
Note: You must have a source of HD programming in order to take full advantage of the SANYO 31.5" HDTV. Contact your local cable or satellite TV provider for details on how to upgrade.

Great picture, DVD plays nice but sound is not as loud as i wanted but it will do. It is refurbished so I hope it will last a while. It was worth the price, good buy

I've had an old Sanyo before with complete satisfaction but I had my concerns about a "refurbished" unit. Three weeks in, on everyday and its working beautifully. $100-$200 in savings for a set that delivers a picture that rivals the new higher-end sets like Samsung or LG... What's superior about this TV is the great picture quality no matter what the viewing angle. Just walk past a few other TV's while their on and you'lll see the difference. Also, be sure to go through the startup slowly...the settings are easy but really important to get the picture looking excellent....crispness, full-bodied color and realistic skintones. The sound is not quite as good as I would like, but that's not unique to this set...just a common downside of flat-screen TV's. The set, however, is well equipped with audio out jacks to solve the problem with external speakers if you like. The great bonus of this set is the DVD player (not BlueRay) that is built into the set... and it performs beautifully...that adds even more savings to this package...

TV did not operate correctly

After operating for a minute or so, TV would make a popping sound and screen would go blank. TV never would operate more than one minute. I returned to the store for a full weekend. I bought a LG which I am happy with.

I have owned the 26" version for a few months but wanted this larger version because I forgot that wide angle movies reduce the vertical making the picture too small for my likes.
This is an outstanding TV because, not only does it have a superior picture and great controls, it has great sound from larger speakers than most, and two tuners so both analog and digital picture are shown as intended, and it has sound leveling for those nasty commercials.
I have a strong physics and engineering background, and recommend this TV highly.
