I bought this CD player for my 2 1/2 year old daughter. The first one I ordred I had to return it because the speakers have a high background noise. I ordered a second one and same thing about the speakers...
I decided to keep it since it might be destroyed in a couple of weeks! ;)
But, if you are looking for a good quality sound don't buy this. Even for the price, I think the quality is not good.

First is it the best. answer no. But for the money it does it's job well. For like 20 bucks to have it on a nice Sunday laying back listening to some tunes can't be beat. Very good value for the money.

We bought this so an elderly friend in a nursing home would have music and some of her favorite prayers for times when she was alone. Perfect for the need in every way. Arrived earlier than expected by one day. The on/off button is not obvious at first, but once you find it, it's no problem after that.

We bought this for an elderly shut-in lady. I knew from other comments that the buttons were not marked very well but thought she could learn them. What we DIDNT know is that the LED panel does not display the radio channel that you are on! After " tuning in the dark " so to speak, we finally located the channel she likes but if she starts calling us to drive all the way over there to change channels its going back.

I bought this for my 88 yr. old mother. I just wanted something with speakers to play CDs. I wish it didn't have a radio. The more buttons it has the more chances that she will press the wrong one and foul things up. So far it is working fine. I labeled the only 3 buttons she needs. It was on sale and you can't find a better deal. Any way she loves it.

I inatially received this CD Boombox bundle about 6 months ago. The sound quality is ok for the price. But, the volume control knob developed some sort of short within 72 hrs of initial use.I had to use a toothpick as a wedge on the side of the knob to get volume from both speakers. I dealt with it, figureing what can you expect for 25 bucks? Now the CD Player has quit working. I contacted Coby's customer service, and after a lengthly phone wait, I was informed that Coby's factory warranty guarantees replacement for parts and labor for the first 90 days, and then parts only for the remainder of the 1yr warranty. The buyer is then responsible for any labor cost incurred.Which in this case,would be more than the cost of the product alone.

This was what I was looking for. Low price-functional. I wish that it had a button to press to open the top-it is hard to open with one hand. Since I have a toddler in the other while I am using it, that makes it difficult.
