Bought this for my daughter who will just be using it to watch tv right now. But with the PC input as well as HDMI and USB inputs, it will be ready for anything she will be doing for years to come. I was afraid of the reliability from some of the reviews saying it arrived DOA. Mine turned on and works great. Sound is decent, picture is great, and it has the digital tuner also for the added digital channels. I bought this right before Christmas for $169.00 roughly and did get Walmarts three year warranty. Thought I might need it, but so far so good. I can only tell you about it after a week of use. Take it with that in mind but so far I am pleased and I think you will be too. For the money I believe it is a good value. I would really like to buy American though. Visio is about the only option there.

Excellent picture, sharp and bright. Sound is good, not great. Has an equalizer so I made some adjustments that really improved the sound.
Some reviews said that their tv wouldn't turn on. There is an extra power switch under the screen. This must be turned on, then you can press the power button on the tv, or from the remote.

This would have been a great Black Friday deal at $169. However, the TV did not power up --not manually and not with the remote. Tried the power plug in many household outlets and it still didn't power up. So, the TV immediately went back to WalMart.

Couldn't be happier with this purchase. Got it when on sale for $169 with the black cabinet (comes in other colors) and wasn't sure ordering online, however, when it arrived and was out of box and set up I was thrilled. THERE IS A SWITCH ON THE UNDERNEATH BOTTOM OF THIS TV WHICH MUST BE TURNED ON OTHERWISE TV WILL NOT WORK. This is not mentioned in the instructions/manual but thankfully I remembered this from reading others reviews. Once on, the set is great! This is a very light weight slimline TV which I could easily pick up and move about. Set up is all of about 5 minutes. It has all the bells and whistles of other much more expensive sets...but why spend more when this TV has everything the more expensive sets have and perhaps even more. The remote additionally has a SLEEP TIMER which was a nice surprise as so many remotes do not have this feature. The turn on switch on the bottom can be turned off when you travel or will be away for an extended period of time and the set will not pull any power being plugged into the electric outlet (another nice surprise feature). Would definately recommend this 32" TV.

Great TV for the price. Like others have said make sure to turn on the power button along the bottom of the TV. The only 2 things I can complain about the TV are the location of where you connect the TV to the cable. I have fat fingers... The other is the layout of the TV remote. I wish the numbers for the TV channels were at the bottom of the remote instead of at the top.

PLEASE READ!!! When connecting it for the first time, TURN ON THE SWITCH ON THE BOTTOM OF THE TV SET!!! most of the bad reviews are because of this quick fix. other than that it is a good flat screen with nice picture quality and great value.

I bought this for my son to use his Xbox on. It works great and my son loves it. Set up was easy, the only problem we had was getting the TV to turn on. Thank goodness I read other reviews. There is a toggle switch at the bottom of the unit that you must switch to the on position before you can power on the unit with the remote or pressing the power button. Does not make sense, but once you figure that out, the unit works just fine!

Please don't be discouraged because others say they don't turn on. They probably didn't notice the toggle switch on the bottom of the TV. Just make sure to turn it on after hooking it up to an outlet.
I've had this TV for about a month, and I am very pleased with my purchase. The picture quality on this tv is excellent, with several presets for it which are handy ( I prefer the Dynamic Setting). Sound on this TV is very decent, comes out clear, not muddied or rectified. Easily accessible inputs and cable ports. Like the swiveling stand that comes with it. I only wished that purchasing wall mount kits were easier for these TV's haha. Bought one but didn't line up with the screw pattern on the back of the screen. But that's a different story

Before purchasing this TV, I read all the reviews on Walmart, as well as, other websites where it has been sold. The reviews were all the same..there is a kill switch and it is a great product! I couldn't be happier with it. The picture quality is great and offers more settings than other TV's in the same price range to customize it to your personal preference. The sound quality is to be expected for any flat panel TV. I already have a home theater system so I used it. I would recommend this TV because it surpasses any other TV in its class.

The TV has a Very nice Picture I have to turn the sound up to a lg number to hear it well. But a very good product. Used in the Office so not the main tv. When setting up the main power button on the bottom front needed to be turned on (I had read @ it in other Reviews or I may not have found it! At first it found no channels so be sure to set it to what ever type of service you have before the channel search. Also the wall hanger we bought was to small the holes on the back of the TV are 16x8.

I wasn't sure about this tv because it wasn't a name brand that I knew. I will tell u this tv was so eay to set up. I didn't have to adjust the settting,they were perfect. I had a westinghouse before and i had so much trouble trying to get the settings correct.That tv started to smoke , and it didn't have a extended coverage. cheaper to buy new If u have any doubs don't because this is a terrific value

This is the second Hitecher 32"TV we now own. Excellent TV for the money, picture is good & so is sound quality. Some people have said that when their set arrived it would not work. Two things to keep in mind. Use the remote, for all functions & this TV has a "kill" switch located on the back of it. If the switch is in the off position it won't turn on. Switch is located about the center of the set 2/3's of the way to the bottom of it.

I ordered this TV the day before Thanksgiving trying to avoid the Black Friday rush for the $148 TV walmart had advertised. However when I placed the order I was under the impression that I was ordering a Sceptre TV and when the TV arrived it was a Hiteker. I have never heard of this brand and the TV was incredibly small and the picture was horrible! This is a very cheap TV and I returned it immediately.
