I purchased this TV because of the many possitive reviews.
I looked at other Companies and saw this was the best Value for my money,I absolutly love this TV and the technologie.
It is also not to heavy to lift,because I am 71 yrs .young and have nobody to help me with setting it up.
I specially likes the auto set up,it find it self the connection.
All together I would higly recommend this TV.

Good picture and good price! My only issue is the remote!
The buttons are way to small and so close together that hitting one unintentionally is inevitable.
Especially the power and input buttons on top!

This TV is AMAZING! Trust me if you're in the market fora value TV then this is it! I can honestly say that from the minute I got this TV home I couldn't stop interacting with all of the features. Apps are easy to use, install and fast! Excellent start time and booting for internet apps. This is my second smart TV and with the other bring a Samsung, this one is still my primary user.

The Vizio 47" Class LED is an awsome TV. It has a beautiful picture, great sound and reaches far beyond my expectations. I would recommend it for anyone, it was super easy to set up, connected seamlessly through the Xbox, registered itself and was done in just a few minutes. It is very impressive, glad I bought it!

Shuts off on its own

This unit has a good picture and was purchased at an excellent price. Had it for over a year now and about 2 months in it began to shut itself down, and it does this 2-3 times per week. Power light flashes white anywhere from 1 minute to 3 minutes and when it goes orange you can power it back on. I have read other reviews with this same problem. The remote is a piece of junk... many of the buttons stopped working and then it stopped completely after 6 months. Bought a replacement and it too is garbage. Buttons fall off and the app button stopped working making it difficult to use. Sound is poor from the unit, but I use a home theater system to get around this problem. The TV looks great and I love the picture, but I am done with Vizio.

I purchased this Vizio a few days ago due to its low price and 120hz LED capabilities, along with the Wifi and Netflix. I'll admit I was hesitant to buy a Vizio, but had heard good things from some friends of mine so I decided to give it a go.
First off, the picture is VERY good. Colors are great, blacks are very black, and the picture is very clear, especially when playing a Blu-ray.
Second, the sound is AMAZING. The SRS sound truly does make a difference. I've always had problems with my LG LCD tv in that I can't ever hear what people in movies/shows are saying because their voice is the same volume level as the show's background noise. This SRS audio brings important sounds to the front and I am finally able to hear. It also does give off a noticeable "surround sound" type effect, especially for video games.
Now, some dislikes.
I dislike that Vizio advertises it as a 120hz television- it is not. It is 120hz SPS, which means it is a 60hz television (panel) with software in it to bring it up to what Vizio deems as 120hz (whatever criteria that might be, I don't know). With that, however, I have not noticed any motion blur whatsoever and it is comparable to my LG TruMotion 240hz television which is actually a 120hz panel with software to make it 240hz (see a trend?).
A downside of the SRS sound is that, occasionally, I have noticed fluctuation of the sound during shows. It sounds as if the software is unable to decide which sound it should bring to the front, so it bounces back and forth. I have experienced this only once and only for about 2 minutes, but I did notice it. I'm assuming that these negative reviews are referring to that effect which, I'm assuming, can be corrected by turning SRS off (but then the sound goes back to all being the same level, leaving it hard to hear).
All in all, so far, the pros outweigh the cons and it is a GREAT tv for the price. Wifi, apps (netflix, pandora, hulu, skype, etc) are all just a plus and icing on the cake.
If my opinion changes, I will post

The product in my opinion is good not excellent as I expect. First, the image gets blurry. I change the image to different settings but it doesn't look as I would prefer. The sound its not too bad. But the most annoying thing is youtube videos which is the only app I used so far. Everytime I search for something the video stop every few seconds. It's not the internet because when I put the same video on my laptop the video comes out fast and doesn't freeze/stop. We try to check facebook on the tv but its not letting us. We enter the username and password but nothing happen it says wrong username or password.But we know its the correct one. I don't know if I have to set my tv in order to be able to sign in to facebook thru my tv. If someone have any idea on these issues or if someone already know how to solve this problems PLEASE let me know. I don't want to return my TV because its not a bad tv.

Great TV, But ...

... it has some severe limitations that are not at all enjoyable.
It is extra-slow on response to channel changes and varying signal strength changes compared to my Vizio 24AR.
This TV's DTV receiver is incapable of decoding some DTV over-the-air transmissions. My Visio 24AR (once again) handles them just fine.
Vizio customer support quickly "blows-off" mention of this TV's above short comings and shows no ambition to correct its said failures.
Overall, it is a slightly better than marginal TV for the money with scary customer support.

We purchased our first 47" Vizio a year ago and we have yet to see a better picture on any other T.V. It still has a great picture with no problems. Our three adult children kept saying how much they liked our TV so we bought one for each of them for Christmas. Every unit started up with no problems. Very Satisfied!

I own 5 High Definition televisions of exceptional quality. This is the first Vizio television I have ever purchased. Although the picture quality of all 5 televisions meets or exceeds my expectations, this new Vizio has the best picture thus far. The two sided remote with its keyboard allows me to quickly type in the information when I am using the Smart TV features. The TV is very slim and light making it easy to mount on the wall. Prior to purchasing this television I had shopped this particular model extensively and found that Walmart had the lowest price. I placed my order over the internet and immediately received a confirmation of my purchase. Two days later I received another confirmation that the tv had shipped and they included an expected delivery date. I received the tv before its excepted arrival date. This is not the first purchase I have made from Walmart over the internet. The merchandise always arrives early and in excellent condition. I have also spoken with their customer service department about my internet purchases. Each time I have been met with professional, courteous staff who know their business. I would recommend Walmart internet purchasing to anyone.

Decent product except for one black spot

Wanted it from Walmart but found it for $ 100.00 less than WMT online somewhere else. Luck as it, turned this new thing on... black spot on the screen! Great so now, seller will pick up and refund and I'm w/o an HDTV... Overall, I wasn't impress with this Vizio M470SL clarity as I was expecting better after having a Panasonic 56 inch plasma for many years. So what Smartv? The apps are so limited that I never took the time to use any of them. If a true browser was included in this Vizio why not but unless you use these specific sites already, what's the point of getting this Vizio smartv? Just like 3D and its glasses, I won't care about smartv's until we can be offered to browse the internet w/o limitation. Thus I'll look for an HDTV of quality like or near plasma I guess and w/o 3D or limited internet access. Hopefully Wal Mart has one of those w/o braking the bank!
