This TV has a great picture, shows a very sharp image, and many programs look like they are almost in 3-D. I am very happy with the TV and the picture quality surpasses my expectations. I would recommend this TV to anyone who wants a great picture at a very good value. The built in apps and the ability to add even more apps makes the features easy to use. This is my first smart TV and I am very pleased with the ease-of-use and all the features that come with the TV.

We loved this tv-until we lost the picture. Then we found out it would cost $300 to replace the back light that went out on our 1.5 year old Vizio. We are extremely disappointed that Vizio wouldnt make the repair and we will not buy a Vizio again.

Very Poor Vizio Customer Service

I bought this TV on August 19, 2012 because I wanted an inexpensive TV for my bedroom. The picture quality isn't all that great (Blacks & Flesh-tones are awful), but the price was low, so you get what you pay for. By the beginning of March 2013, the Vizio logo on the front of the TV will no longer illuminate when you power the TV off. Since the color of the Vizio Logo is used for diagnostics (white on, orange off), I called Vizio customer support to let them know about my issue. After the customer service rep spoke to me, she put me on hold and contacted a service representative. The service rep diagnosed the problem to be a failing LED. The customer service rep put me on hold and started to set up a service visit. When she came back on the line, the customer service rep told me that Vizio will not repair the failing LED since the picture and sound on the TV are still working. I really can't believe that Vizio will not repair the failing LED that illuminates the Vizio logo on the front of the TV. The color and flash rate of the logo are used for diagnostic trouble codes when a problem arises with the TV circuitry. Now I have no way to tell what the problem is when a part inside the TV fails. It also amazes me that this is their "LOGO" that will now not illuminate when the TV is off. It is supposed to be a bright orange "VIZIO" logo showing off their brand name. If Vizio won't repair something as simple as a failing LED, the horror stories I have read about Visio Service on all the A/V forums must indeed be true! Granted it would cost Vizio to send a repair person to my house to fix the problem, but they must not really care about their products being 100% functional. This is the first and the last Vizio product I will ever purchase.

When I bought this TV it was replacing an older one that the audio had died on. After it arrived (2 days after I ordered it). I connected everything up and had it running in about 15 minutes ( I took a break). Everything was working as soon as I turned it on.
The picture is great and so is the sound. I haven't had time to check out all the features yet so I can see some extra time checking them all out.

Nice picture quality and sound. The menu is very easy to navigate, and I'm really enjoying the fact that it's a "smart tv." I have all of my favorite widgets added for internet surfing and movie streaming. Pandora is my favorite though, I can fill my lower level of my home with my favorite music. I searched for quite a while before I chose this tv, and I made the right decision. I added Walmart's 3 year warranty plan for additional coverage should I ever need it. I would definitely recommend this tv.

I just bought this tv 15 months ago and the display went out. I have no picture. I am pretty sure this is not what Vizio's CEO wants their name to stand for. Very Poor TV. I would not recommend this tv to anyone nor buy any Vizio TV again.

BEWARE! I bought a vizio about 9 hours ago and the past 6 hours I had to research the internet on how to get the remote to work properly. Seems to be a common problem with these TV's (all models of Vizio has this problem#. The way to fix the issue is putting painters tape across the IR sensor on the TV #Brand NEW), for the remote to function properly. IF I would have known of this issue, I WOULD HAVE NOT PAID 1500. for this brand of TV.

The VIZIO TV purchased online was easy to install, and is very good quality sound and picture. We love it! We have yet to master it's wireless online capabilities, and the only complaint I have would be that it takes about 20 seconds for the TV to come on after you've pressed the "power" button, but maybe that's a normal amount of time for a flatscreen to come on. We really enjoy the television. Good quality, and good price! Thanks VIZIO, and thanks Walmart!

Great TV, great product, great value. The new LED side-lighting seems like a gimmick to keep increasing prices. I'm sure it's a little lighter and a little better in a dark room, but the back-lighting works just fine for me. At under $500, can't beat this.
Only drawback really is my remote didn't come with a keyboard, and I thought it would for the "smart" TV.

I purchased the 55" version of this set over a year ago and I am happy with it and trouble-free.I purchased the 42" shown here for my girlfriend for Christmas in a bundle. The TV is an excellent product. Easy to use, easy to set up. The wireless connection was effortless. Just know your network password and you are all set.

This TV has one of the best pictures available in the 42" class. The 120hz refresh rate is mandatory. We tried several TV's with 60 hz and the lag will drive you crazy. I assumed I would have to buy a separate sound system for the TV, but the speakers in the TV are more than sufficient. Had the TV for 2 weeks...highly recommend

The Vizio 42" HD tv was a great choice for my family. It is the perfect size for an average size living room. The sound quality is teriffic, with several options. There are more features with this TV than I may ever use, but at least I have them. The picture is crystal clear and I like that I have choices as to how vivid I want the picture. This makes the viewing easy on older eyes that are not as efficient as they used to be. The price was right - great value for the price.

I recommend this TV because I have one.Picture perfect quality sleek, nice looking slim. The only draw back to me is the Vizio logo lights up a dull yellow color. since this is in my bed room I like complete darkness, so to me this is annoying. Therefore I keep I keep it covered.

Everything meets or exceeds our requirements and expectations. How long will it last remains to be seen. It has a life expectancy of 60K viewing hours. If it lasts only half that we got more than our moneys worth. The picture is perfect, the sound is amazing and clear...setup was a breeze. The wifi kicked right in and we watched a netflix movie within minutes of bringing it home. No satellite or cable yet...just setup the free (30 days) netflix account and you have 1000 movies/month. I'm thinking this is gonna be sweet. Happy New Year :)
