I ordered an extra firm pillow, and was slightly disappointed to find out these aren't very firm at all. I need the head support, and wound up having to use two pillows instead of one to get the support I needed. Had I realized they would pretty much go flat as soon as I put my head on it, I would have certainly spent the money on different pillows.

Pillows arrived and I thought they looked firm enough. After sleeping on them one night, they're very fluffy, but not firm in the least Unfortunately I cut off the tags so guess they'll go in the closet until I need them for company.

I have tried quite a few pillows looking for ones with the firmness and loft needed for a side-sleeper. These are fantastic, loft stays up and the firmness is not too hard, just right. Have not washed them yet. I wake up with absolutely no pains in my neck or shoulders.

Bought these (2 pillows for 19.98) to replace some very worn out pillows in my granddaughter's room. I like to replace pillows once a year, so I do not spend a lot of money for my pillows. I still like to get a quality pillow, though, that I don't have to worry about seams breaking from normal use and that won't flatten out significantly in a short amount of time. I looked at a lot of pillows, and their reviews, before deciding on these. Right out of the box, these pillows are very full, and the queen size we bought just barely fit into a queen size pillow case. The cover is very soft and smooth to the touch. The whole pillow has a good quality appearance and feel to it. My granddaughter, who is a side-sleeper, says they are very comfortable, and is very pleased with them. This is my first experience with this brand, so I am interested to see how they hold up over time.

Finally, a firm pillow that will support head & neck parallel to body while sleeping. No sagging, pure support at a very affordable price, I have paid more in the past for a so called firm pillow and received a lot less quality. Well I would say that the firmness was pretty good but I didn't care for the material that outlines the pillow. I thought it was a little rough and I prefer a softer material against my head at night. Yes I put a pillow case on but when your head moves it is to noisey for me. I will be returning them.

At first I bought these pillows because they were on sale; then because I needed new pillows, finally because I trust the Serta brand. Let me assure you that these are great pillows, firm but soft....not marshmallow soft but in the way that a pillow needs to be. They provide excellent support for my head, they don't get hot...they haven't gone flat. I like nice pillows and I don't mind paying a certain price in order to get what I require for a pleasant nite of sleep. With these I got quality, good value and I like them so much that I recommended them to my sister and I will be getting another set soon. I have eight {8} pillows on my bed and I feel that I am a bit of an knowledgeable source when it comes to comfort in bed and it starts with great pillows. You can go to Walmart or Walmart.com to find what you want and need. You will save money too.

Comparing the extra-firm bargain pillows to a few name brands, I did notice major quality differences in stitching, overall feel and material used. You either spend less for an inferior quality pillow or much, much more for better quality. You really had no middle ground..
Enter, the new $10 & under priced Sertapedic extra-firm & other comfort styles pillows. These are not only great quality pillows, they feel like a much more expensive pillow with 300 thread count covers and quality materials. The product is also finished in the USA too! After a week of sleeping on my new $10 pillow, I have to say it puts my other $80+ dollar extra-firm pillow to shame. I'm a back sleeper and find this to have much better neck & shoulder support. It also doesn't get too hot like some other cheaper pillows.
I highly recommend this new Serta line of pillows. It's worth the few extra dollars if you are considering the cheaper store brand pillows. It's definitely worth checking out if you are considering more expensive pillows.
