Very nice for certain aspects.

I owned this computer for almost three years. It was the same but with a 220 HDD.
Not used great for graphic designs which I do. 3D modeling and what not. Very slow with major applications like WOW or IMVU. Makes them a bit laggy but if you want a gaming computer I would suggest an 6GB Memory.
I do all my work on it I watch movies, play games, chat with a mic and cam, ITunes worked perfectly.
It crashed maybe only six times but that was from CPU overload basically.
I never had to recover it I just downloaded a CCleaner for it's OS and ran it once a month never had to Defragment. Threw in my own upgrades and the gadgets are wonderful. The gaming gadgets didn't work like tetris.
Every chatting applications worked great. I owned an external HDD so my laptop never got full which was great so it was still pretty fast.

The PROBLEMS with this laptop is it is a HIGHLY sensitive computer aside other electronics. For example, my computer is on the opposite side of my TV, Game Consoles etc. I had my phone under it cause I was on a desk and the place you set your keyboard on I used it as a little table and the little phone crashed it and caused a lot of problems.
I had this aside a TV I turned on the TV and it wiped out the HDD. Didn't even have a booting system. Thanking Acer since it was still under it's one year warranty I sent it in and they replaced it for free it was fast and I got almost a brand new computer again.
Suggestion on my part I would get the 3 year warranty if I had the warranty I wouldn't have been forced to purchase a brand new laptop I would have just got another one or it's motherboard replaced for free that was the problem with it. Otherwise keep it clean send it in with some computer tech guys get them to dust it out once in a while keep it away from strong electronics like speakers or a TV and it'll be fine.
The camera and mic that it had also didn't work. It had an application for it but it highly refuse to detect a video camera. The mic was working but I have to scream into it to get people to hear me.
So I purchased a Logitech video camera from the store and it worked beautifully.
Also the DVD disc drive was a serious problem for crashing. When I eject it I would have to pull it out lightly as possible and hold the bottom up as I placed the disc inside and slowly lightly close it. That thing I swear caused my computer to crash every time. It would give me a blue screen and would dump files and then go off.
That was one thing that really made me upset was that drawer.

So all in all it is a great laptop for doing a lot but not much. I even plan now to purchase couple more new ones I loved it so much. I recommend this to everyone I run into with other computer problems like with a cheap dell and what not.

I had an older Acer that needed replaced. I got a Dell to replace it and less than two weeks later the Dell gave me problems. I returned it for a full refund and got this Acer in it's place. I love Acer! This computer does what I need. I am not a gamer. I mostly check my email, facebook, and blog and I do some light research/surfing. This computer is just perfect for that and it cost a lot less than the Dell. I am so happy with this laptop, and with the money I saved returning the Dell. This laptop has a great picture and great sound too compared to my older Acer. It runs quickly and smoothly. I have had no problems with this product at all and I would recommend it to anyone! I am an Acer fan for sure.
