I love the quick touch options. They make it easy to set it without a lot of other buttons to push. If I want it to run for a few minutes I just push 1-6 and it starts with the minutes according to which button I push. The sensor cooking is good too. I just push one of the pre-set food types stated on the buttons and it starts and heats intermittenly until enough steam is detected and then it starts a count down until it's done. It's very easy to use the time cook option and the timer on it as well. I think being able to lock it from use and turn off the display time except when using it is a good idea. Compared to the Sharp Carousel I had prviously this is equal in quality and costs a lot less.

I had a 2004 vintage GE 1.4 cu ft microwave with identical features as this item.
The old microwave had served me well and made a 2500+ mile cross-country move in an enclosed trailer over some of the worst bumpy roads in our USA. Roads which were so bad, I was completely taken off my seat as we encountered bump and dip after bump and dip. The microwave withstood more abuse than most people could give their unit in their lifetime.
Ah but, the one abuse it could not withstand was being accidently turned on with nothing in it. Oh, I knew the warnings to NEVER RUN A MICROWAVE EMPTY, but not all users in my household did. After it was zapped, I started my search for a replacement. And, my hubby took apart the old one, finding it to be extremely well built.
I was thrilled to find the current model is nearly identical (minor cosmetic change)... almost 10 years later, this design is still receiving great reviews. I ordered it. It arrived sooner than expected. And, I'm back in business.... with a much wiser household to the warning:

I did not rate durability as I have not had it but a couple of weeks.
I like its features and so far I am very satisfied with my microwave.
It is replacing one that I had for 21 years, so it has quite a hill to climb to match my last microwave.
I am adjusting to having a more powerful microwave, I like that a lot.

Not what I expected

My previous microwave lasted 18 years. This one is a different brand and had about 10% more wattage power supposedly. Contrary to expectation it took longer, 4 minutes, to boil the same cup exactly of water that took 3 minutes in the old microwave. This unit lasted six months then stopped working altogether. It was significantly noisier at times also. I disliked it so much I didn't bother to return it, just took it to recycle and bought a new one at Costco that is recommended by Consumer Reports. Wish I had done the research before I bought this one - instead I was hasty because of no functioning microwave at home and I didn't think it would matter which one I bought. After all this one looked pretty much the same as my old one and I thought GE was a good brand.

We've used this microwave oven 2 or more times every day for 3 months and it performs perfectly. We constantly use the features to add 30-seconds, program 2 different times and temps. (it can start high, then switch to lower power to finish cooking the dish) and one-touch beverage heating. It is easy to learn and very convenient! The look is sleek and striking. I cook rice, fish and vegetables, as well as reheat leftovers and find the one-touch buttons very useful. The inside is also quite large and the glass turntable easily lifts out for cleaning. So far, we are very happy with this purchase and recommend this oven.

We've had this microwave about 5 months now. It works great. The reheat option reheats just about any type meal perfectly. This option is worth the price of the microwave. Make sure you try it. The popcorn options also works great.
