Is it too much to ask to buy a glider rocker with a smooth rocker mechanism. This is the 5th one I've tried in as many years and at least the others worked for a while. This one sounds like you're sitting on the front porch cross ways of the porch slats. bump, bump, bump, bump. bump,bump ,bump,bump. And I'm supposed to take it back apart and put it back in the box and pay to ship it back to the company to get a refund!!! And we all know once you get something out of a box the same something will not go back in the box. It looked good! The padding even feels good which is why I even gave it one star. So frustrated!!

This is a good chair. It is a lil squeeky when i rock wile reclined but its very tollerable. It is way comfortable and my daughter and I sleep in it for at least an hour every nite.

I've had my chair for over a year now. I have not had sound/squeaky problems as the other reviewer. And if there is, I'd suggest some wd-40. But mine has worked great. It is a little on the larger side for me, being only 5'3", but it works well for my husband (6'0") who uses it a lot too. I use a foot stool in the same color as the wood and it looks and works great. (See photo.) I would definitely purchase again and suggest to a friend!
