I've used these fans for years, and about every 3 years I have to have new fans. I looked at all the websites and stores close to my area and Walmart had them at the cheapest price, also buying a 5 pack saved more money. I had them ship it to the local store and picked them up there. No shipping charges and a hassle free pick up. You couldn't ask for anything more.

I bought this fan for my son's bedroom. I used to have an Air King fan but after many years of use
it gave out. I would have to say this fan isn't as strong as my air king but it is very easy to clean. I like that I can take it apart and wash it up. This fan is much quieter on the highest setting. I think that this fan is a good buy for the cost. I would definitely recommend buying it to anyone.

I bought 3 of these fans in the store today. I was trying to decide between this model and the Lasko 3300 Wind Machine so I called Lasko and they said that the only difference is that the 3300 is the updated model number. The A20300 does everything the 3000 does. I tested each fan out to make sure they worked and they all worked fine. They all ran just as loud as the old box fans we had but since their made of hard plastic they don't rattle. I'm a light sleeper and I think I could sleep through the low setting. I bought these for everyone's bedrooms. I think they will be fine for my kids bedrooms since they're upstairs and the air doesn't quite make it up there like it should but I'm wondering if it might be too much for my bedroom where the air gets to just fine. High is very powerful. I think the low setting might be as much as I'll ever need.

I have purchased 4 of these fans in the past 2 years because everyone in my family loves how much wind it creates. So now we all have one for each room pretty much. This fan is sturdy, easy to use, the 3 settings are more than enough and best part, it keeps each room very comfortably cool.

Excellent value, blows hard, but have to keep it on medium to hear the tv. It could be quieter, but it is an excellent buy for the price. This is the 2nd one we've bought and we're quite happy with these fans.

I love this fan in a small room it keeps it very cool and in a larger area it keeps the room lightly cool with the ocean breeze kind of feel. I love to use it during the day with my AC if I want my room to be icy cold. lol but last year I used this all summer with no AC and I was ok. not the best but ok. the only think is when the blades get dirty you need to use a screw driver to open the fan and clean them off.

Strange clicking noise

After getting this fan home I plugged it in and what I heard was a strange and loud clicking noise. It was a noise similar to a kid attaching a playing card to the spokes of a bicycle. The clicking would stop when the fan was pointing downward and would be good if I wanted to cool the floor and that would obviously be useless. Although the fan worked and moved a large volume of air, what ever was causing the noise would be at best annoying but the live span probably would be very short and fans, regardless of manufacture, have a notoriously short life span. Naturally the fan was returned to the store, fortunately Walmart has a very good return policy.

I bought this fan nearly 10 years ago and use it most nights as I sleep. It is still performing excellently. The only thing that I would change is that lowest speed is a little too high for my preference times that I just want a light breeze. This fan is so good that my family is now asking for one in the living room.

the wind machine doen not put out excellent air flow on low...if it did
you would not need to use hi setting...thereby making the fan last longer useing low setting
maby its the fan blades they are not metal...i bought 2 of them...because of the price...my mistake
now some people might want this fan for whatever reasons...fine... for me no.. HOWEVER in my kids room i put one of these fan..and they have air condition..and this fan for the PRICE is not too bad...however in my room ...i have to have it on hi to feel the air circulate it will last about 2-3 months..because of constant use...no i would not recommend this to a friend...to a stranger why not? it would make a good conversation topic

I bought the Windmachine brand new in 2008.
It has been used almost everyday during this time at night (6-8 hours), to help me sleep.
I've also used it to move air around during the summer.
That's thousands of hours!
It just finally gave up the ghost, but not because of the fan motor, but the main control switch shorted out.
This was by far, the best fan I've ever owned!
Quality was/is exceptional and, since they still make them, I'm buying another.
Its got a super stable base, very adjustable positioning, and great design.
Buy it.. you will be very happy with your purchase!

Works just great! I place it by the corridor and circulates the air around my house, during
the night and sometimes I have it straight to my bed. It cools the rooms off nicely. It
seems to last and run fairly quiet and the amount of air is extremely awesome. I highly
recommend these! Don't worry in about spending a couple more bucks, its totally worth it,
you'll be glad to pay for these fan as soon as you set it on.

After waiting for about 1 1/2 weeks I finally got the Wind Machine. When I opened the box the plastic housing was broken. There was a hole in the housing but no pieces of plastic in the box and the box was not damaged, so I assume the fan was shipped broken. What a waste of my time. If I buy another it will be at the store and open the box to make sure it is not broken.
