I really like this product. After trying various blenders to make my morning smoothies, I decided that I needed something that would finely blend my ice in a quick manner. When I researched the products available, I kept coming up with the Ninja series of blenders. Well, it was all I could ask for in a smoothie maker. It blends the ice, milk, powder, etc. quickly in a restaurant-worthy manner. It is easy to clean up and has a lid to store leftovers in the fridge. My only 2 gripes are the price increase and the lack of colors available. It went up $5.00. I wanted to buy my niece one for her wedding but with the price increase it has just went out of my budget range. Also, the red is always out of stock.

In search for an ice crusher, I read through many reviews for numerous appliances of all prices. This was the ONLY one I found with constant 5-star ratings and with a really reasonable price I had to try it out. They were right! It's fast and durable. I started with slushies and was amazed with how smooth they were. But how about simply crushing ice? When I tried that, it came out like snow. If you like chunky cracked ice, this isn't it. But if you like smooth and constant consistency, this works like a dream. I have a feeling I will be getting more for gifts for my daughters. :) Thank you for such a wonderful product at a reasonable price!

I purchased the Ninja for smoothies but have been pretty disappointed with the whole thing. When I picked up the package, the box was so badly damaged and torn, I should have rejected it right then. Opening the box I discovered the damage was not limited to the box, the lid and top of the blender were also damaged. I tried it anyway. My 8 oz smoothie was not enough liquid to reach the second set of blades, and my smoothies were only partially blended. I am now stuck with a damaged blender. Don't bother purchasing this item unless you intend on making servings for at least two or more.

It's a real nice blender but sometimes doesn't crush the ice well no you won't find big clumps of ice but it may not be so smooth. Other then that it blends fast and isn't loud as traditional blenders. It blends really quickly

Returned my purchase. Was not satisfied. Did not do the job I expected to do. That was to make smooth Breakfast smoothies with fruit, ice, veggies and yogurt. Quality of product was poor.
Used it once. Non slip ring on bottom was coming off base after original use.
A friend recommend product so thought I would enjoy as well. Was disappointed.

Bought this for quick frozen drinks.
Chops ice ok. Can't leave running like a blender though.
You need to pulse in short bursts. If this isn't an issue for you then it's fine.
Be very very careful handling the blade. I managed to cut myself pretty bad while washing.

Excellent for smoothies. Easy to use and easy to clean up. Better smoothie maker than a blender. Bigger than a Magic Bullet, so it's better for bigger, bulkier foods, like kale and carrots, that might be used in smoothies that include vegetables.

Seriously, though. It's about time someone had a fresh, helpful, and inexpensive take on blenders! We have used this little beauty daily for several months now with absolutely no problems and great performance. What's that? You say a man or a woman could have designed such a great tool?!? Well, of course you're right, except for one tip-off: The motor is too heavy and smooth to be easily picked up one-handed, unless your hands are large and strong. Must have been a man. Anyway, if you have compromised hand strength (arthritis, carpel tunnel, ms...) you may not find this product easy to use, since the motor must be lifted to the top of the pitcher. Smaller-handed people must be ready to always use two hands to pick up the motor (all the better if they are dry, too!). If Ninja wanted to improve the product, they could provide better grips on the sides of the motor. Honestly, though, that's a really small peeve compared to the wonderful job and great price of this machine!
